  Went here for the 1st time and it was a wonderful experience. The oxtail was nice and tender. Tia was the person attending to our table and she is such a sweetheart. She was very kind and patient. The drinks are strong and will have you feeling real nice. Definitely recommend.

  Stop by a weekend or 2 ago during their half off special for Jamaica Independence Day. Food was top tier.

  I’ve ordered from this restaurant multiple times through Uber without any issues, which is why this experience was so shocking. The only difference this time was that I chose to pick up the order myself instead of having it delivered. When I arrived, I told the bartender I was there for an Uber pickup and waited where I was directed. After about 6–8 minutes, I politely asked about my order. I was told someone from the kitchen would bring it out, so I walked over to the kitchen door, knocked, and asked if it was ready. I never stepped inside the kitchen. Instead of getting my food, I was accused of going into the kitchen. A woman approached me, put her hands on me, identified herself as the manager, refused to give her name, and called me a derogatory name. She then told me I would not be receiving the food I had already paid for, said she would make sure I could never order from the restaurant again, and ordered me to leave. She later claimed to be law enforcement, but when the police arrived, I was told she was actually working as security. I asked if they could review the security cameras since they would clearly show I never entered the kitchen, but I was told they didn’t have access to the footage. What’s most disappointing is that this entire situation seemed to stem from the assumption that I was an Uber driver rather than the customer picking up my own order. If this is how delivery drivers are treated, that’s extremely concerning. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. I also found it concerning that the person who was later identified as security appeared to be drinking while working. If that is in fact part of her job responsibilities, that raises serious questions about professionalism. I left without the food I had already paid for, and the police were called over the situation. I have video documenting the interaction and stand by this account. I hope management takes this seriously and makes changes so no one else has to go through something like this.

  Our Philly crew was in town celebrating a 60th birthday over the weekend, and some family told us we had to keep the party going by checking out Jewlz Bar, Restaurant & Lounge. We're so glad we took their advice! From the moment we walked through the front door, we felt welcomed. Shay made some amazing drinks that were absolutely on point! The wings were so good they had us dancing in our seats, and the DJ kept the energy high all night with a great mix of reggae music. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered takeout the very next day before heading home. That says it all! We can definitely see why Jewlz is a local staple. If you're looking for great food, strong drinks, good music, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town!

  That was the worst experience It was my first time there I walked in probably about 6:00 6:30 There was nobody in there bartender a few people at the bar so they told me that I was there I was about to miss happy hours so I said Okay let me take advantage of that So I got the oxtail tacos They raved about the oxtail tacos Then I ordered a lemon drop requested it'd be made with tequila Okay so I got my drink It was too sweet so I asked him to put more lemon juice in it Okay Then I'm sitting there I'm sitting there I'm waiting I'm waiting and I'm looking I can see in the kitchen I see my food sitting in the kitchen in the window Just sitting there So finally I'll say to the bartender you know I see my food sitting in the window I'm like I'm ready I'm starving So he still talking taking his time finally he goes brings me my tacos y'all the tacos were a hot mess They were mushy they were cold and you know at that point I just said okay You know what I'm not going to complain I'm going to do my best I started eating a tacos he could tell that I was not happy I said I just want to drink this drink finish this horrible meal and get out of here He gives me my check He's already added a 22% tip on top of some other fee My check was like almost $30 I had a $9 drink I'm sorry at $9 for the tacos and I believe the drink might have been $16 so it should have been under $20 I said okay I am not going to complain because I told myself that day when I got up that morning I want peace today I want this to be a good Friday and I'm just not going to play I just got my tab I paid for it he could tell I wasn't happy So this is what you can expect when you go to this particular restaurant Good luck and my name is Miss Theresa Houser
