Drove an hour away to come visit this restaurant. Lights were on, clearly people were in there talking, yet not one person opened the door. Even seen someone peek out and still not come open door. Had my brother even drive there one day when he got off work, checked store hours, said it was open, of course he got there and it was closed again! Have called this business over 20 times and not one answer! Hated to talk bad about this place but this is terrible customer service!

Everything says they open at 12 , show up at 1pm , door open, lights seems to be off . We hear talking yel to see if anyone is there , they peek out a door then closed it. Could said you were closed or had an emergency. We're a group of guy who do lunch on Wednesdays & love to try different restaurants.
I ordered $129 worth of food for 4th of July gathering. I requested pickup at 2PM on the 4th. They accepted the order, send confirmation email and texts and charged my credit card. I drove 45 minutes from Atlanta to pick up the food...and the were closed. Door locked tight, lights off, no one around. I sent a text and an email 24 hrs ago...no response. Will not waste my time with them again.
The food is excellent, the roti is perfect, pepper sauce on point - real wiri wiri (IYKYK)! The restaurant is just like home and the owners, the staff and guests are like family. This brought back a real Guyana / NYC experience. If you’re looking for West Indian, Guyanese or Caribbean food this is the place to go! Back in Thyme is tucked away in Lawrenceville, but definitely worth the drive from anywhere in the Metro Atlanta .
I hate to leave a bad review, but my first and last experience here was beyond disappointing. I ordered the curry chicken with rice and peas and a jamaican beef patty. Everything was bland and flavorless. The chicken was not fresh, and it had no curry, no gravy, NOTHING. The rice was drenched in some watery liquid that made it soggy. My beef patty was not done, when I tried to pull it apart it literally stretched like playdoh. Ended up throwing everything out and going to get some real caribbean food. Please don’t waste your time or money
