  I think Portillo's is known for its hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches, but on this day I tried a cheeseburger and fries combo with drink for $13. The Cheeseburger is char-broiled. It wasn't bad, but I didn't get a flavorful, juicy burger like I wanted. The fries were hot, but, in my opinion needed more salt. I was asked if I wanted to get cheese sauce with my fries. I'll try that next time. There was about a 10 minute wait from the time you order to the time you get your food, but that wasn't bad at all considering I went right at noon. I like the dining area. It was nice and clean. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

  Man I love portillos! Italian beef here was delicious, onion rings were decent, place is always cool. What wasn't so cool was the wait for the food. It was well over 20 minutes, and about halfway through that our number disappeared from the board as if our food had been given to us, and when I asked about it at the counter they kinda just shrugged. Eventually we went up again and they handed it to us making me think it had been done for some time. Obviously things happen, but felt like something went wrong here and it wasn't really acknowledged. But bring a Portillos to Colorado

  July 23, 2026, my husband and I visited the Portillo’s in Kennesaw, GA for the first time since it opened. Rachel took our order. She was bubbly and helpful. The restaurant was reasonably busy and appeared clean. Order number #64 was up. The two Italian beefs with fries were wrapped up and placed in a plastic bag. Our sandwiches were asked to be dipped in au jus. My husband stepped away to go to the restroom. I immediately opened my sandwich and inspected it. The meat was not cooked dark enough for me and the two long sweet peppers were not sweet tasting to me. I’m from Chicago and have eaten plenty of Portillo’s in Downers Grove and Naperville in Illinois. I have also eaten at Portillo’s in Orlando, Florida. All three of those locations never disappointed me. Kennesaw you have to step up your game! Your au jus lacked flavor and was greasy. We spent too much money on your food for it to not leave me satisfied. My husband enjoyed his food. He had nothing to compare it with since this was his first time eating an Italian beef sandwich and eating it in Kennesaw. The lemon cake was fine. You’ve stated that it’s produced in-house by your staff every morning at each location. Alright, I’ll leave it alone. I don’t know whose vehicle I spotted in the parking lot with the Illinois license plates on it belongs to a staff member but, if it does, you’re not representing Portillo’s back home well at all. You’ve recreated the look of the stores but, the taste needs some improvement.

  Not very happy! Over 25 min and counting for 2 hot dogs and fries. And yet 8 orders placed after me have gotten their food. Finally went to ask and it was sitting to the side, so needless to say all our food was cold. Everything we ordered ( 3 different orders was alllll cold) And the staff needs some help as in calling numbers and getting food out in a timely manner. The music is 2 levels higher than the ntercom, can't hear anything. Oh and to make matters worse NO NAPKINS!!! and we had to watch the guy at the table in front of us LICKING his hands from his wrist to the tip of his fingers! So now hes gonna touch everything in there table, bench, doors before he leaves! And rethink the MENS BATHROOM DOORWAY. you can stand at the register and turn around see straight into the urinals in the bathroom and watch everyone using the bathroom

  My father and I have eaten here three times. The food was barely warm the first two times. Not sure why we even went back, but on the third time which was On July 15 at around 8 PM, my father got food poisoning. He woke up in the middle of the night to throw up and didn’t sleep the rest of the night. He stayed in bed all day the next day feeling yucky and weak. He had the char-grilled polish hot dogs, which he did not finish because he said they tasted weird. I know he did not get it from somewhere else because we had been on a job all day and had not eaten until then. Additionally, it really wasn’t busy that night, yet every empty table was dirty while employees were taking breaks. Needless to say we won’t be going back. One other thing I hate is ordering dine-in and still eating out of paper bags and paper wrappers like it’s to-go. It’s unappealing.
