  Came for lunch Friday around 11:00 was not busy. Ordered my food on the Kiosk my order# 1074? Did not get my food until an hour later! Waited for my number to be called, they never did. Inquired at least 3 times only to get ignored several times. Yes after being there an hour it got busy, they should have had more than 1 person working the front counter? They had a problem with the Kiosk and should have closed bc the orders weren't being sent through. This was my first time at the location , very disappointed. Some of the tables and seating inside were not cleaned. (No organization) They gave me a coupon that was expired 3/31/2026? This is the month of May

  Ordered food for my family of four at 8:02pm, and was being refunded at 8:38pm. No one could give us an explanation as to where our food was. There were multiple people frustrated with the wait time. One lady was going off on them because of her wait, and another gentleman had to take his sandwich back to the counter to be corrected. When I decided to be refunded, the manager Josh didn't ask why, nor did he apologize. He just started processing the refund. Both of my kids were upset we had to leave, but there was no telling when our food was going to be ready. This was my third time here. However, only my first visit went well. I love that they hire so many people, but I think they would benefit by having more adult presence behind the counter as well.

  We drove up slight wait explained to the order taker we were 1st timers we ordered the receipt shows the Info from our order. We waited over 25 minutes once we drove up to the window where they give out your order After awhile just Sitting and watching the guy walk out over 6 times to take orders to cars behind us andddd he Never asked/acknowledged that we were just waiting. I noticed a guy that was at the fryer Dave or David. He was moving very swiftly w/ fries & onion rings so Eventually, I got his attention. I I asked if someone could Please see why we were waiting so long. He also acknowledged that it had been a while “Oh you are B16 & have been waiting over 25 minutes.Let me check”. He offered us cake or fries since it was our first time I said, whichever one is Good and he offered us our drink and another drink since we were waiting & HUNGRY Even after his acknowledgment, we still had to wait about 10 more minutes so that’s a total of at least 35 minutes waiting for food. Once we got our food, it was COLD One of the items was a salad and we didn’t have utensils nor condiments For the fries Nor onion rings. There were only three cars and we were one of those cars so it wasn’t busy initially It got busy while we were waitinggggg And then top it off, I didn’t get my receipt. my total which was approx $35 so this was not an GOOD experience at all. $35 for a sandwich a salad & reg size drink ☹️☹️☹️The only receipt I have is the one that they stick to the bag which is shown below Very DISAPPOINTED We were here for graduation so to get back to the hotel it was not a good experience at all

  I hate to say that I made a bad choice for a Mother's Day outing, and boy what a disappointment. When we walked in, it was a bit confusing because of all the kiosk and nobody at the door to direct us or directives anywhere that I noticed. When looking online it looks totally different then the feeling I got when I walked in. It was more in the order of a Steak 'n Shake or that type of vibe. I ordered the Chicago dog combo and was very disappointed. By the time I got my order to go pick up and got back to my table the hot dogs were ice cold. I personally did not like the neon green relish or any of the other toppings. To me the eye appeal was not appealing at all. It was all bread. My daughter-in-law ordered a cheeseburger and it was a little "over" charcoal broiled. She couldn't eat it and gave it to her teenage son and he turned his nose up. My husband had the Italian Beef sandwich and the dipping gravy had a weird taste. Needless to say, the only thing enjoyable was the complimentary piece of chocolate cake given to the mothers for Mother's Day. I'm sorry but I probably will never go back. I would have rather went to Costco and got a hot dog and a Pepsi for $1.50. They have the best hot dogs in town.

  I will start by saying when this Portillo’s first opened, it was DELICIOUS. We were ecstatic to have a piece of Chicago in driving distance. Unfortunately, since then the quality of the food has had a notable decline. We ordered the cheeseburger and Italian beef. Both tasted like it had been sitting out and the bread of the Italian beef tasted stale like it was left open in a fridge for too long and meat was not very flavorful. It was SUCH a bummer because several months ago I raved about this Portillo’s to my family in Chicago, but this is now the second time we’ve gone and the quality of the food was no where near what it once was. We’ve gone to almost all the Portillo’s in Chicago and the quality has never been an issue. Could it be that we went during the week when it was slower and not as fresh? Not clear, but we were SO disappointed. Hopefully the issues with freshness are addressed because I would be devastated to no longer have what it once was!
