  Buyer Beware if you or your children have food allergies. This is the second time in two weeks that my family has ordered from the Kennesaw location and the food had "all the things" we asked not to be placed on our food, on two separate occasions, including cheese and veggies. Receipts on the bag are clearly marked and they still managed to put unwanted items on the burgers each time. Either someone in the kitchen can't read the prep orders, which is plausible, or they simply don't care. Chris Moya, the manager, lacked concern that this was the second time that I had called to bring this to their attention where I cite both times risks for consumers with food allergies. One order was personally picked up and the second order was delivered by Uber. Chris noted that I could call Uber for a refund. Unfortunately, I had to explain that my purpose for calling and emailing the pics to him is to prevent Portillo's from being negligent where consumers have food allergies. This has nothing to do with requesting a refund as I never requested one.

  My family, and I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at the Portillo's on Barrett Parkway There's a guy that works there that will help you with getting a table even when it's busy. He is from Chicago and gives the whole place a more authentic feel just by speaking with him! The girl that helped us get our food at the counter was also super nice. When she saw that, we had been waiting for a minute, she immediately got our order together. The beef steak sandwich, fries with cheese sauce, and chocolate cake were very tasty! We had eaten at the downtown Portillo's in Chicago last year, so this was a fun place to eat and bring back memories for us! It really looks and feels like a mini version of that one!

  0 stars if possible but the owner might delete it so let’s leave it at 2. Terrible way of conducting business! Especially as a new establishment in the area. They’ll speak to you through a mic and expect you to memorize the menu and meet them at the window ? Very unprofessional of her. And keeps repeating it when I say okay I get it but I have questions and they cackle in the back. Terrible customer service Terrible way of conducting business! Ruining the name of the franchise! Couldn’t even ask a question, why would I spend money here ? None of us are obligated to memorize your menu and most importantly specifications and dietary requirements have to be told or asked, especially as a customer requests or tries to ask to be safe! I hope it goes away as fast as it came. Terrible experience! This is the 2nd and last time!

  Two stars only because Joshua was so nice and handled my refund over the phone without any issues. My husband and I decided to stop on our way back to Atlanta from Nashville. We ordered online in the parking lot. 1 big Italian beef with sweet peppers slightly wet with gravy on the side and 1 big beef combo with sausage and sweet peppers, dipped and onion rings. The only things correct were the onion rings and the side of gravy. We drove back to Atlanta and opened our food and were devastated. Mine was missing the sweet peppers and his was missing the sausage. There’s nothing worse than having your mouth ready for something and you find out it’s wrong. We don’t go up to Kennesaw very often from the city so this was like a treat that we would be passing by. In all honesty, I don’t think we’ll be back. I’d rather just wait until we go to Chicago again. We stood by the pickup window for online orders and courier services and watched a young man with what looked like zero interest in doing the job, carelessly pack the online orders in a bag and sit them in the window. Another man came over and asked us the name on the order and told us it should be up soon. Then a young woman came and started doing the job of the young man and she was even slower. She bagged our order into a plastic bag and put it in the window and walked away. That looked like the easiest job in the place and both of them were clearly unmotivated but couldn’t wait to laugh and joke with their team members. We should have just gone to Arby’s. It would have been cheaper, more food, and correct. Yeah I got my money back but I would have rather had my food be correct instead.

  If you’re thinking of placing a catering order from this location, do yourself (and party guests) a favor and DON’T! First, let me preface that I tried multiple times to get in contact with the restaurant, and no one would answer the phones, so the complete lack of being able to communicate with a company offering a catering service was very disappointing. I placed a catering order in advance through Portillo’s official website for this location, and was given the option a specific time to have it delivered. I happily paid the delivery fee and tip, because this was supposed to have taken a load of stress off of me for the party. I get a notification that they have a DoorDash driver on the way to get my order and the ETA is right on time. Well, I went to track the order and when it was supposed to arrive, it showed that the driver was still waiting. 10 minutes later, I tried contacting the restaurant since I had ordered directly through them, and could not get anyone to answer the phone. Since our guests were getting hungry, I texted the DoorDash driver with the number provided. He said that they had been giving him the run around for the past 30 minutes. Apparently they never even started on my catering order. I continued to try and reach the restaurant, but no luck. Finally, my DoorDash driver contacted me that he was on his way. After he dropped off the order, he texted me asking to please leave a tip. I made sure to tip generously in advance through my order on Portillo’s website, so not sure if they decided to pocket that or not. The food quality was awful! It was cold, dry, and not as advertised.
