This was my first time visiting, and unfortunately, I left disappointed. I found this business on Google and expected a market with fresh fruit and a traditional butcher shop with meat displayed in cases. Instead, the shelves were bare, and there was no fruit or meat on display as shown in the pictures.
I ordered the BOGO Salmon Philly special online, but initially received only one sandwich. Thankfully, the employee walked through the ordering process with me, acknowledged the issue, and honored the promotion. I appreciated him making it right!
When I walked in, there was a very unpleasant odor that several customers noticed. The employee acknowledged the smell and suggested it might be coming from the neighboring restaurant. Another customer mentioned that she noticed it more outside near the front of the building and not as much inside. Regardless of where it originated, the odor was noticeable inside and made me hesitant about eating there.
As for the food, the garlic eggs I ordered as my side were amazing! However, the Salmon Philly was underwhelming. For approximately $19 for a sandwich and a side, I expected a larger portion and more flavor. It tasted greasier than it did seasoned.
I also asked about the butcher services and learned that they still sell meat packages but no longer display the meat for customers to browse. I can appreciate their process, but I wish the Google pictures were more representative of what to expect.
Overall, the employee was helpful, and the garlic eggs were the highlight of my visit. However, between the unpleasant odor, disappointing sandwich, and lack of the market-style setup I expected, I’m not sure I’d return or recommend this location.
