Drove over 5 hours from Jacksonville Florida to visit the Dwarf House because my wife is a big Chick Fil A fan. We got there at exactly 9pm and as we walked to the counter to sit down it turned to 9:01pm and we were refused entry. The online time says this place is open until 10pm but that was not true. My wife is bawling in the car as we speak because this was extremely important to her as we are doing a corporate visit this coming Monday. I guess second mile service isn’t a thing in Atlanta.

The size and finish of the establishment is on point. The service is average everyone is polite. The drive threw is the major draw back; they have two drive threw lanes. It bottle necks into one at the at the bend to the food pick up. Whats the point of two lanes if the second one shut down. There have been numerous occasions where the opposing lane failed to let me merge.

This was my second and final visit to the Chick-fil-A Dwarf House in Hapeville. I came in expecting the customer service and professionalism this brand has been known for since 1946. Longtime AMERICANS and the Aborigine of America have supported establishments like this for generations, continuing to spend their hard-earned money here despite rising gas prices, inflation, and the increasing cost of living. Because of that, customers should be able to expect a comfortable, professional, and clearly communicated dining experience. First, I want to recognize Ms. Gina G. for being professional, patient, attentive, and clear in communication throughout my visit. She was the one employee who consistently provided the level of service customers should expect. Unfortunately, what I witnessed with Nidia, Eddy, and another employee identified to me as Estafania were frustrating due to repeated communication issues, misunderstandings, and unprofessional behavior during service interactions. One major concern was that Estafania was not wearing a visible name tag. When questioned about whether name tags were part of the required uniform, the response given was simply, “Oh yeah, it’s in the back,” which reflected a lack of professionalism and accountability. What made the experience especially uncomfortable was watching staff repeatedly hold conversations among themselves in another language directly in front of customers immediately after service concerns were raised. Whether intentional or not, it created an environment where customers felt excluded, uncomfortable, and unable to understand what was being discussed while trying to resolve issues with their orders. Another customer seated near me also appeared visibly frustrated after struggling to communicate a simple request and ultimately needing assistance from a different employee. Clear communication matters in customer-facing businesses. Customers should not have to repeatedly struggle just to place orders, ask questions, or correct mistakes. Businesses should ensure that customer-facing staff can communicate effectively and professionally with the community they are serving. A manager on duty was made aware of the concerns, but the situation still did not feel properly addressed. This location needs significant improvement in professionalism, communication, accountability, and overall customer experience.

I had a great experience with Charles at Chick-fil-A Dwarf House. He was prompt, efficient, and very attentive to detail throughout our visit. His friendly and personable demeanor stood out, and he took the time to check on us regularly to ensure everything was satisfactory. At no point did we feel rushed or like an inconvenience. Charles provided excellent customer service, and it truly made a positive impression. Not to mention the food was amazing. Please give that man a raise!

Truett’s Chick-fil-A Dwarf House is a worthwhile visit for the novelty and experience of seeing where the Chick-fil-A brand originated. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and noticeably nicer than a standard Chick-fil-A location. The menu offers sit-down dining options beyond the typical fast food fare. That said, the chicken wings I ordered were disappointingly small for the price point. A standout from the visit was the sweet potato casserole, which was rich, flavorful, and genuinely excellent. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would recommend visiting at least once for the experience and history, though expectations should be tempered for a fast-casual setting.
