- DRDaniel Rossley5 days ago5.0I didn’t make a pilgrimage to Mecca or Medina, but I did visit the Dwarf House — the original Chick-fil-A — which may be the closest thing America has to a sacred chicken shrine. Standing there, I honestly felt like I should have taken my shoes off before entering. This is hallowed ground: the birthplace of the chicken sandwich covenant, where Truett Cathy first revealed to the world that chicken, pickles, pressure frying, and exceptional politeness could become a global movement. The Dwarf House is part restaurant, part museum, part Southern fast-food Vatican, and part fever dream for anyone who has ever wondered, “What if Chick-fil-A had lore?” The service was exactly what you’d expect: fast, friendly, and so aggressively polite that I briefly questioned whether I was spiritually prepared to order. The food was excellent, the experience was memorable, and the whole place has a weirdly wholesome historical gravity to it. Five stars. I did not complete the Hajj, but I did see where the chicken covenant began.

An hour wait for table; no reservations 👎 Service: Host/server was great; friendly and funny. Came around often. Food: had the Chick-fil-A Chicken Egg breakfast, all toast. So good. Eggs sunny side up with the toast 🤌. The loaded fries were good too. Water was crispy. Cost: ~$250 with tip. Would I go back (yes/no): 90/10 (not sure if I'd wait an hour every time)

My boyfriend was so excited and happy, he read history of chick fil a, all about your menu and knew what he was going to order weeks before we came here. Now, can you imagine the level of disappointment when food turned out to be worse than an average chick fil an experience. Burger was dry, and quoting my boyfriend “I’d be happy to eat it on a plane, but this ain’t it”. Crisps were flavorless. Chicken sandwich was worse than any typical location. I personally ate kale salad and loved it. But it just hurts me to see my boyfriend being so excited about something cute like that, and then truly disappointed, seeing the light in his eyes dimming. Service was good, as well as the atmosphere.
