Another restaurant in town that will shut down before you know it. Trying to cater to people that just pass through from big cities. We used to love going here before their complicated, overpriced and "high end" menu. We went tonight and the young waitress we had was great and very attentive. We ordered sweet tea which used to be amazing but now I'm 90% sure is Brisk brand lemon tea 🤢. After trying to settle on something on the menu, because they did away with the good options, we collectively decided to leave. We let the waitress know that we wanted to leave because they made a poor decision with this change and offered to pay for the drinks (mainly so I could tip her for her time). She said that we're not the only ones who have said this. She went to get the bill and a manager came back with here and acted upset that we wanted to leave and wouldn't let us pay even after we said we wanted to so we could tip and her response was "she will get another table". They were very slow tonight and only had 2 other tables sat. We wanted to pay for her time and the opportunity that we felt was wasted on us but couldn't. Shame on that "manager" and hopefully they learn that not all change is good.

A co worker and I went in to check out Big Bear since the new be owners opened up and boy I can tell wow what a turn around, my wife Amanda was our waitress, and Im not just bragging because she was our server, the food was amazing, our drinks came out super fast, we felt welcome as the owners made sure we were happy throughout our whole meal. The place was slammed but that didn’t change anything everyone had a job and they all work together to get that job done the new owners have truly stepped up and created a place that has awesome steaks and the menu is great I really enjoyed my food. This is an awesome place to eat and gather with family i am impressed and thankful. I will definitely be back

First time going under the new ownership and it’s was amazing! Highly recommend! Food was delicious and drinks were very good and pretty! We had the burger, salmon, animal fries, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. We will be going back! If you loved Emily’s downtown Ellijay, then you’ll be excited about the new Big Bear!

Food looks soo good on the menu and advertisement but too bad didn’t get to try it. My boyfriend, little one, and I came in today 5/22 around maybe I’d say 7pm. We were seated right away with menus and highchair, tucked in a corner from everyone else. The timing we came in was not very busy at all. Host was chatting with one of the waitresses, busboys were cleaning tables. Owner or whoever was walking around chatting and I assume checking on certain customers. Not once did a server look our way or ask for our drinks or anything. No service whatsoever so we walked out and left.
