⭐ 1 Star — A Truly Disappointing Experience. The Photos Speak for Themselves. I came to McDonald’s with my 3 children hoping to have a nice family outing. Unfortunately, the experience was completely the opposite. The first thing that shocked me was the condition of the restaurant and how dirty the facilities were. There was trash, food debris, napkins, and other messes throughout the floor. You can clearly see some of it in the photos I took during my visit. What disappointed me the most was that no one seemed to be paying attention to the cleanliness of the dining area. After waiting and seeing that nobody was cleaning, I ended up taking the broom and dustpan and cleaning the area myself so my children could enjoy the restaurant. And yes, that is why the broom and dustpan are in my pictures: because I had to use them myself. Since when does a customer have to come into a restaurant and clean the facilities so their children can enjoy them? We are talking about a restaurant that welcomes families and provides an area specifically for children. Keeping that environment clean should be a priority, not something customers have to take care of themselves. There was also a problem with my order. I specifically ordered a hot cappuccino, but I received a cold coffee with ice instead. The employees were not rude to me, and I want to make that clear. However, the restaurant felt extremely disorganized. Employees were running around, orders were being mixed up, and there seemed to be very little organization. The saddest part is that the restaurant itself is beautiful and has so much potential. That is exactly why it is so disappointing to see it being neglected like this. McDonald’s has been a place where families have gone for decades. Children could play while parents sat down, ate, talked, and enjoyed some family time. Many of us grew up with those memories. It used to be a place associated with family moments. Today, walking into a restaurant and finding trash and food on the floor, dirty areas, and a facility that clearly needs attention is incredibly disappointing. I am not saying that every employee is bad, and no one was rude to me personally. My concern is with the lack of cleanliness, organization, and supervision. If employees are so overwhelmed that they cannot keep the restaurant clean, then management needs to address the situation. Because being busy is one thing. But when a customer has to pick up a broom and clean the restaurant herself, something is seriously wrong. The photos show exactly what I encountered that day. I sincerely hope management and McDonald’s take a serious look at these pictures and ask themselves one simple question: Would you let your own children play in a place that looked like this? Families deserve a clean place to enjoy a meal. Our children deserve it too.

I lived in Ellenwood for 8yrs and this McDonald’s service has been consistently the worst during the entire 8yrs. I have never received my drive thru order without having to wait on the side for a minimum 10 minutes. Today my husband ordered a fish sandwich and fries. He and another customer waited 20 mins and both had to get out their cars and go inside to investigate their orders. To find out their orders were never started. This is a consistent issue with this franchise. It’s time to work on better management . This is where the problem starts.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. I placed a mobile order and still waited nearly 40 minutes just to receive my food. After driving over 20 minutes back to my destination, I realized the restaurant forgot items from my order. When I called, I was told the only solution was for me to drive all the way back because of their mistake. As a parent with small children waiting to eat, that was beyond frustrating. When I returned, I was simply handed my missing food. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, and no effort to make the situation right after I’d already wasted so much time and gas. I explained that I felt a refund was appropriate after everything I’d gone through. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the employee became extremely rude and dismissive. What made it even worse was that she initially offered something additional for my inconvenience, but the moment she realized I was frustrated, she took it back. It felt like she was punishing me for being upset over a situation that her restaurant created. Of course I was frustrated—I had every right to be. I had already waited 40 minutes for my order, driven over 20 minutes home, discovered my food was missing, and then had to make another trip because of the restaurant’s mistake. At no point did I disrespect her, yell, or become hostile. I simply wanted the situation handled fairly. Instead, I was met with attitude, rudeness, and a complete lack of empathy. Mistakes happen. I understand that. What I don’t understand is treating a paying customer like they’re the problem when they’re only asking for accountability. McDonald’s, customer service matters just as much as getting the order right. I hope management reviews this incident and provides additional coaching, because no customer should leave feeling disrespected after going through this much just to receive the food they already paid for.
