Update: In response to the reply from the restaurant, you did not give me 15 shrimp — you gave me 5 additional shrimp because the original order already included 10. I substituted 2 of the 4 included items, which I later understood to be the potato and egg, and although I did not agree with the lack of clarity on your website ordering system, I accepted that portion.
What was not acceptable was the missing shrimp entirely, the rude response from the manager, and the fact that we had to drive all the way back to pick up food that should have been correct the first time. On top of that, I was charged an additional $4 for the potato and egg, and the shrimp we came back for had no seasoning at all.
Your website ordering options are extremely poorly designed and do not clearly explain what is being substituted or removed, which is exactly what caused this issue in the first place. Instead of acknowledging the confusion and taking accountability for the mistake, the response was defensive and dismissive.
As a first-time customer, this experience was honestly disappointing from start to finish. Poor customer service, poor communication, and no accountability when an order is messed up is unacceptable.

I really should give them a 1-star review.
Long story short, I placed an online order for the “B9 - Crawfish Bowl,” which includes 1 lb. of crawfish, 10 shrimp, 1 corn, 1 potato, and 1 egg.
Online, there was no option to ADD sausage — only an option to substitute sausage for an extra fee. I selected (2) sausage substitutions, but there was no option explaining what items would actually be removed from the bowl.
When my daughter brought the order home, the meal only included sausage, corn, and crawfish — NO shrimp, potato, or egg.
I called the restaurant to explain that items were missing, and they told me the substitutions caused it. I explained that nowhere online did it specify what would be removed, nor did it explain why the shrimp was completely left out. The manager’s solution was to “put my name down” so they could replace it another day. As a first-time customer who paid $26 for the meal, that response was unacceptable.
I explained that gas is too expensive to keep driving back and forth and that this was a major inconvenience. He eventually agreed to give me 15 shrimp instead of 10 if I came back that same day.
Needless to say, this was my first and last time ordering from them. I didn’t feel like driving to Villa Rica to go to Lee’s Southern Kitchen, but I can guarantee I won’t make that mistake again.
