  I’ve been going here since they opened and I order the same thing every time. However this is one of the worse experiences having to find hair inside my AÇAÍ BOWl. I have black curly hair so I know it’s definitely not mine.

  This was my first time visiting the Tropical Smoothie Cafe on Harbins Road in Dacula, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience from the moment I walked in. When I came into the store, there were employees behind the counter, and I could also hear people talking in the back, yet no one greeted me or acknowledged me at all. I stood there for at least 4 minutes with no other customers in the store, and there was no excuse for no one to greet me or take my order. I was honestly about to walk out before someone finally came around the corner to help me. I ordered a Detox Island Green with pea protein and asked for one substitution: I wanted the kale replaced with extra ginger. When I explained that, the employee responded by saying that the smoothie already comes with ginger. I told her I understood that, but I wanted extra ginger in addition to the ginger that already comes in it. When I looked at my receipt before the drink was even made, I noticed the order was still not entered correctly. The receipt showed Detox Island Green with pea protein, no spinach, no kale, and substitute ginger, but it did not reflect the rest of what I had clearly asked for. That is why I spoke up and tried to clarify it before she made the smoothie. Instead of simply correcting the order professionally, the young lady at the front, who was wearing brown glasses, responded by saying, “You didn’t say that.” That response was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I know exactly what I said, but more importantly, you should never speak to a customer that way. There was no reason for the lack of attention when I walked in, the attitude during the order, or the way this was handled after I politely tried to correct it before the drink was made. Customer service clearly needs improvement at this location. As a first-time customer, this left a very bad impression, and it will also be my last visit. Customer service matters, especially for a new business in the area. If you want a better smoothie experience, I recommend Smoothie King or 324 Nutrition, located in Dacula, GA 30019. They have great smoothies and excellent customer service. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location.

  I enjoy this restaurant very much. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They really impressed me when I showed up 5 minutes before closing , no one sighed ,no one said we can't help you we are closing , just the same friendly smile and made my daughter's favorite smoothie without attitude. I give my highest recommendation to Tropical Smoothie Dacula GA.
