- MMMadison MuesseJun 14, 20263.0I decided to try Five Guys for the first time in many years. I walked in the door with $20 cash. I asked the cashier if they had kid meals, to which she answered no. So, I ordered a cheeseburger, with fries and a drink. Which came out to more than $20. Shocked, I told the cashier I only had $20 with me. She was very gracious and gave me a drink for free. But, I will not be coming to Five Guys again. It’s just too expensive. I can get multiple meals from a Chinese restaurant, or a steak dinner at longhorns for a similar price. I’m very disappointed that the pricing is so off kilter. It would have been nice to go back again in the future.

When I called I was told I would get a call back from the manager, she also tried to say they couldn’t give a partial refund. At this point I still haven’t heard back and I will continue to write reviews as this is completely unprofessional and robbery. Don’t offer a service and not be sure people get what they pay for. Also, make it right as soon as you are made aware of the error.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
