  Unfortunately it comets a 2 stars because they had no Pizza Hut Pans and the pizza was like cardboard. Needed a better sauce as well. The 2nd star is for the really nice young man at the counter.

  It’s really a shame whatever is going on with the Clayton hut. I raised my family here. They are all grown with families of their own now. I now live in Franklin, NC. My children live in Vermont, Colorado, and California. We have had a 10 year family reunion this week and we all looked forward to our night at Pizza Hut. I got there early at 5:45pm to tell them we would have a party of 9. When I walked in I saw no employees. In a few minutes a young man walked in the front door . There was still nobody else in the kitchen around in the kitchen. I told him we were having a large party coming in. He said all a server would be with me soon and I guess he walked to back of kitchen to find someone. I t was then as I looked around I saw that the dining room was a disaster. Half the room was not even usable. Chairs on half the room piled on booth tables. There was a huge pile of hot cayenne pepper spilled in the middle of the floor. Other tables all shoved together in the middle of the and a vacuum cleaner in the middle of the floor plugged into the electrical outlet of the salad bar With the long cord all in a tangle across the floor. A girl came out with a pile of plates in her hand and some rolled silverware. She pushed two tables together in the aisle on the useable side of the room. I thought it would be difficult for other folks coming in to eat to have proper access to their tables and the salad bar. I checked out the salad bar and it was also a disaster. No lettuce and the other items were no more than 1/4 - 1/3 full and looked like they had sat there all day. Only a bit of chopped tomatoes, some dried up slivers of carrots, some big dried up ends of celery, chopped onions all wilted at the bottom of a container. There was a nearly empty container of cauliflower. When I reached in with the tong to get some it was moldy and one piece was even yellow and starting to rot. Shredded cheddar cheese and Parmesan. I told the girl that she would need to replenish the salad bar as we all liked salad. All she ever did was fill the bowl of lettuce. The dressings were also nasty and 1/3 full. The food was mediocre. We ordered several kinds of pizza. I only ate the veggie lovers. It was not properly cooked with the crust half baked. My 11 year old grandson wanted a sandwich. He sat there through most all of the meal with an empty plate. The girl saying it would be ready soon. One of the pizzas that had been ordered was incorrect so she said to take it home and they would make the correct order. I could go on and on but what’s the point. This was the last night of our reunion and the last meal we would share. At I have done business with this Pizza Hut for 75 years. I moved to Franklin NC 25 years ago but I would always go to Clayton Pizza Hut for their excellent clean salad bar with fresh items which included things like olives, fresh broccoli, fresh mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and more. Over the years I always told people it was worth the trip down to Clayton because you still had gas ovens and perfect yummy pizza. I’m sure if the health department had arrived you would have immediate been closed down. After a 55 year history I will not be back and I will tell all the people I have referred that it’s not worth wasting your time.

  Pizza Hut Classic that serves beer and has salad bar. Ordered the pan supreme. Pizza was good considering that it's frozen dough. If Pizza hut went back to making dough in house, Pizza would be way better. I realized that the breadsticks is how the Pizza dough used to be prior to 1995 when they switch to frozen dough.

  Now this Pizza Hut is like the ones I remember when I was a kid. The breadsticks were perfect, the pizza was delicious, and the staff and service were excellent. Im from MI and all our Pizza Huts are in Targets or Walmarts or they are the "Express" kind; doesn't matter what one you pick cause they're all equally terrible. It was nice to find a good Pizza Hut.

  An OG pizza hut. Hanging lamps, red checker table cloths, salad bar and all. Food and service were incredible. Worth visiting to reminisce of the good old days!
