Every visit, my son and I feel welcome. Ordering is simple and our questions about the menu were answered confidently. The Brunswick stew is similar to my grandmother‘s recipe, super yummy. My son got the ribs and loved them! We love coming coming for lunch or dinner dates, and occasionally DoorDash it for lazy nights. We got the brisket to go for dinner because it’s my son’s favorite!

Picked up an order of ribs and sliced brisket. The ribs were good only problem was the had more bone fragments than full bones. Now the brisket ( The main reason I went) I’m pretty sure it was made by jack links and if they didn’t make it then they might try to steal the recipe from this place. It was dry and tougher that the rubber on a nascar stock car.

We placed a catering order for a local school for almost $1000. When I arrived, the girl on duty was extremely unfriendly. She didn’t smile, greet me, offer to help me get the order into my car, or even hold the door while I took out multiple trays of food. A staff member at the school called to complain and while the owner apologized, he did absolutely nothing to make it right. BBQ restaurants are everywhere and we will find another one for future catering orders. Customer service is so important!!

Honestly, I was looking forward to having some Q on Memorial Day weekend. So my daughter chose Fire It Up for our Sunday evening repast. My wife wanted a BBQ pork sandwich and fries, my daughter ordered the BBQ chicken nachos with onion rings and I elected a half slab of St. Louis ribs, fries and okra. My daughter really enjoyed her nachos and a couple of the onion rings, but the rest of the rings were soaked in cooking oil and inedible. My wife said her sandwich was good - not the best she's ever had but passable. Her fries were hit and miss with some being way undercooked. I agreed because my fries were the same way. My okra was very good but that was about all on my plate that I considered enjoyable. The Texas toast was soggy and tough. And what I was really looking forward to - the ribs - was a major disappointment. They were extremely tender; fall off the bone. But the taste was just off somehow and WAY too salty. I tried every sauce on the table and nothing made them tasty. My wife and daughter said they would return, but I probably would not based on my experience with the ribs.
