I had a great server, food was awful. I ordered a steak medium and it came out medium rare. I sent it back and he sent the server back with pictures of steak preferences. I’m not sure why that was done when I wanted my steak cook longer and it looked nothing like the medium steak on the picture. He then proceed to torch the steak and instead of putting in on a skillet or grill to cook it more. It made it taste awful. The potatoes were disgusting. They were supposed to be like brunch home fries but it tased like a rotten potato, or like home fries made with a plantain and something foul. Crab legs were over cooked and sticking to the shell. The only edible things I had were spinach dip, eggs and my drink. I asked for a cup of ranch to go with the salad for my steak and she said it would be $2.50 for a cup of ranch for a salad they gave me with my meal. This place is over priced for the food they are giving. The drinks are good. I didn’t eat any of it, and he didn’t have the decency to walk over and apologize or rectify the situation. $91.00 and none of my food was good and some not edible.

As a server with over 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry, I was disappointed. My mother, a retired home economics teacher with many years of experience training young people about food preparation, health and safety, was also disappointed.
Normally, we don’t dine out on Mother’s Day because most restaurants struggle with the sheer volume of large parties. But this was a buffet so we thought it would be a better experience than what we’ve endured in the past. Our expectations were appropriately set; however, some areas of service should be addressed.
The major issues were the delayed opening, lack of communication, and improper attire for food service.
Toaste was supposed to begin buffet service at 10am but they were not ready until 10:30am. The decorations were stunning but, the time for set up should have been split with food preparations.
The staff did not seem informed about how this day of service would proceed. They were standing around chatting, capturing photos for the Gram, or looking like they had just rolled out of bed. Service staff are the ambassadors for your brand and always represent your establishment…whether good or bad.
Also, I was grateful each person serving food was wearing gloves. Although, their hands were covered, their hair was not. Staff needs clear guidelines on uniform standards.
The food was good but if we had to choose again, we would have gone to Mellow Mushroom across the street.
Again, holiday service is challenging for even the most experienced restauranteurs but please don’t forget about the basics.
Timing matters. Clear communication is key to returning guests. Servers are brand ambassadors.

Second time around was just as good as the first.
Kenny, the server, is very pleasant and patient. He will also very knowledgeable about the menu and able to answer your questions.
Mimosa flight is a great way to sample their many flavor combos.
