I gave The Garden Room 4 out of 5 stars because, while the restaurant is undeniably beautiful, there were several aspects of the experience that fell short of what I expected for the price.
The ambiance is absolutely stunning and creates a wonderful atmosphere for a special evening. Our hostess and our server were outstanding. They were warm, attentive, and even accommodated my request to combine tables so I could sit closer to my love, which was greatly appreciated. Their service was excellent from beginning to end.
Unfortunately, I felt the food was overpriced for what we received. For a party of two, our bill came to $327, and we also left a $56 tip. At that level of spending, I believe valet parking should either be complimentary or fully validated. Although the restaurant surcharge covered a portion of the valet cost, I still had to pay the remaining balance. At this price point, I don’t believe guests should have to pay for parking.
The biggest disappointment, however, was our interaction with the bartender/manager. We ordered a martini and were surprised by how little was in the glass. We politely expressed our concern, expecting at least an explanation or an effort to make things right. Instead, the bartender/manager dismissed our concern without offering to top off the drink, remake it, suggest another option, or make any attempt to ensure we left satisfied.
Ironically, just a week earlier we enjoyed martinis at the bar inside the The St. Regis Atlanta next door, where the glasses were filled appropriately to the rim. That experience highlighted the level of service and presentation I expected when paying premium prices.
To me, great customer service isn’t about never having a complaint—it’s about how management responds when one arises. Unfortunately, this was a missed opportunity. The bartender/manager’s unwillingness to address a reasonable concern overshadowed what was otherwise a very enjoyable evening.
The Garden Room has a beautiful setting and an exceptional waitstaff, but because of the way our concern was handled by management, I do not plan to return. I also won’t be recommending it to my friends, family, or discussing it positively on our podcast. My decision is based solely on the bartender/manager’s lack of commitment to customer satisfaction.

The Garden Room is one of Atlanta’s most unique dining destinations. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported into a lush, beautifully designed space that feels both elegant and whimsical. The cocktails were creative, expertly crafted, and the atmosphere made for an unforgettable evening.
What truly elevated the experience, however, was the outstanding service provided by Gabriel. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth—knowledgeable about the menu, attentive without ever being intrusive, and genuinely committed to making sure every detail of our visit was exceptional. His hospitality reflected the level of service you hope for at a premier dining destination.
Exceptional ambiance, excellent cocktails, and service that exceeded expectations. Gabriel is an incredible ambassador for The Garden Room, and because of him, I’ll absolutely be returning the next time I’m in Atlanta. Highly recommended.
Talia our server was very unfriendly and low key racist. She didn't show any interest in serving us. We came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday and this was our first visit. We learned about the Garden room from tiktok about 2 years ago and finally made it out. The entire staff was very unfriendly and unwelcoming, but the inside of the restaurant is really pretty. Talia took awhile to finally take our food orders and kept purposing walking past our table when I tried to get her attention to let her know that we we're ready to order. My mom asked her about the menu and how things work. Talia was rude about explaining this to my mom, she kinda brushed my mom off as if she should already know. The good thing was, we got our food pretty quick. I ordered the lemon pepper wings. I was told it comes with 5 wings, but I only got 4, my mom pointed this out and I told our server and I was given another plate of only 4 wings again, ok fine. Then the worst part for me was when Talia brings out my daughter's little piece of birthday cake that the restaurant gives, and she starts to light the candle with a cigarette lighter in front of my daughter. It almost looks like she was intentionally trying to set my daughter on fire with all the flickering and how close she was standing to her while lighting the candle. That was very dangerous and she could have burned my daughter. Most restaurants usually bring the cake to the table already lite. Thankfully my daughter wasn't harmed, but the memory of that is still very upsetting. I told my mom not to leave Talia a tip, but she insisted, because I wasn't going to tip her at all. The only plus was valet parking at the hotel. The gentleman were very friendly and courteousy, which was a little relief, after that nightmare experience. Needless to say I won't be going back to the Garden room, it's not worth it.

All the 3 star comes from the ambiance and how beautiful the place is. Service was also very wonderful and attentive. The food is not great in comparison to other food at the same or lower price point. The steak wasn't tender and was initially received over cooked. This was removed from my ticket which I greatly appreciated. The short rib was good but again I expected better for the price point. It's beautiful experience at a price point that does not justify it.

I contacted the company on several occasions a month and weeks before my dinner reservations to assure we could confirm party of 7 . I even spoke to a worker and she was unsure why I haven’t received a follow up . I received NOT one call or email since . And I decided to cancel my reservations with them . Atlanta has a million restaurants I’ll definitely choose one to spend my money where you can get the best customer service
