We ate here for my Birthday and this was one of the best visits we had here!!! Our server Caroline went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience, food was amazing, and that we understood everything we were trying for the first time! We truly loved the experience we had with Caroline and can’t wait to come back again!!!

Birthday celebration dinner. The host (Ross) was very friendly and accommodated our table change from the outside area to inside due to the heat. Our server Caroline gave amazing recommendations that did not disappoint. We're excited to come again for the Happy Hour and try more dishes.

July 4th around 9p-11p. My cousin and I came here hoping for rooftop views of fireworks over sushi and wagyu. However, we were met with many disappointments!
-I arrived to the restaurant and one valet (young man of non-color) told another valet (young man of color) “you’re so DARK, i didn’t see you in that truck”. I was appalled and asked what he just said. He then repeated it very smoothly. I said his comment was racist and he shouldn’t say that in front of customers (I am a blk woman.)
I was extremely offended and put off.
-While heading to the stairs, a lady in a pink floral shirt (seemed like a manager) snarkly commented that the stairs is the other way. She remained snark and unkind throughout 2 other encounters with her. Upstairs, they told us we can sit anywhere. However, the rooftop was closed in with minimal circulation so we opted to dine downstairs. No one approached us, so we assumed we can sit anywhere as they stated upstairs. The same lady approached us very rudely stating that the area was closed, but still allowed us to sit.
-The rooftop was underwhelming. On social media, it appears to be open but it had windows/panels throughout.
Also, it is only one level above ground level and the view is very limited as it is surrounded by numerous taller buildings.
-We ordered lychee martinis and they arrived with sliced, wrinkled lemons floating on top. We asked the bartender for lychees and she stated that they didn’t have the sticks to put them on. We said that was fine and still requested to have them (the main reason we ordered those drinks).
She then stormed off to the bar, made a pitstop to her friends and we saw a lot of of neck rolling and attitude. She then grabs the lychee jar out of the fridge and sticks her bare hands inside and throws a few inside of a cup. When she arrived to the table, we said that we were fine, that I noticed her complaining (although we POLITELY asked for what we ordered) and saw her put her bare/unclean hands into the jar. She proceeded to call me “girlll” and dismissed herself with the cup of unsanitary lychees. While our waitress was checking us out, the bartender returned to our table with a very dry apology stating her name was Emma (her name probably isn’t Emma).
The only highlight of our night here was the food. I would give the food a 7-8/10. Lobster hand roll and rock shrimp were tasty. The A5 wagyu teppan was cooked at the table and very well melts in your mouth. If only the valet, manager, views, and bartender matched the food.
OVERALL service needs tweaking. Valet-racist and offensive, manager-rude, bartender-unsanitary.

I had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Josh was an amazing server—friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. I visited for my birthday, and the staff went the extra mile by writing "Happy Birthday" on the menu, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. It really made the celebration feel special. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!

I recently had dinner at O-Ku, and it was easily one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had in Atlanta. From the moment I arrived, the restaurant impressed me with its sleek design, relaxed elegance, and welcoming atmosphere. It felt upscale without being overly formal, creating the perfect setting for a special night out.
The quality of the food was exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the freshness of the ingredients was immediately noticeable. What stood out most was the attention to detail—each bite felt carefully crafted, balancing flavors and textures in a way that made the meal feel truly special. The menu offers a great mix of classic favorites and more creative selections, making it easy to find something exciting no matter your level of familiarity with Japanese cuisine.
The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Their recommendations helped elevate the experience and introduced us to a few standout items we may have otherwise overlooked.
For first-time visitors, I recommend being adventurous and trying a variety of dishes rather than sticking to familiar choices. Sharing several plates with friends is a great way to experience the restaurant's range. Reservations are highly recommended, especially for weekend evenings, as O-Ku is understandably popular.
Overall, O-Ku delivers outstanding food, polished service, and a sophisticated atmosphere that makes every visit feel like an occasion. It's a restaurant I would gladly return to whenever I'm back in Atlanta.
