I’m currently in Atlanta on a layover, so my time was very limited. We arrived at Milk and Honey at 11:28 AM, sat down, and ordered immediately. We didn’t order appetizers or anything complicated just breakfast. We ordered 4 lemonades: 1 strawberry and 3 mango. For food, we ordered 2 French toast meals 1 peach and 1 banana 1 pancake meal, and 1 omelette. We did not receive our lemonades until 12:00 PM, which is already a long wait for drinks. Meanwhile, multiple people came in after us and received their food before us. By 12:34 PM, I went inside and asked to speak with the manager, Brittney. I was told she was working, but I basically got the runaround. They kept saying our food was coming, but I made it clear that I still wanted to speak with the manager. Our food finally came out at 12:42 PM, over an hour after we ordered, and most of it was cold. My omelette was overcooked, the grits were so solid they practically bounced when you put a spoon in them, and the banana French toast topping was not banana at all it was like slop in a bowl. The only plate that came out hot was the peach French toast. Our waitress was nice, but it was clear we were forgotten about. What made the experience worse was the manager, Brittney. She never came to our table, even after I asked to speak with her. She walked past us several times and rolled her eyes, but never once stopped to acknowledge us, apologize, or try to fix the situation. The waitress did remove my omelette from the bill, which I appreciated, but the overall experience was extremely disappointing. After waiting that long and still receiving cold, poorly prepared food, I had to leave and buy fast food instead which completely defeated the purpose of stopping at a restaurant for breakfast. With limited time during a layover, this was frustrating and honestly unacceptable. The lack of communication, cold food, long wait, and poor management made this a place I would not recommend.

I hate to leave this review. I have always loved this restaurant. My husband made a reservation to bring me here for Mother’s Day. It was absolutely awful! We were told there would be a wait but we didn’t expect two hours+. DoorDash had a long line out the door and seemed to be top priority. There was a family that was there before us that got to go plates as soon as their food came out. After almost two hours we were told our food should be out in 10 minutes. We had to leave as we were already behind on another event. The waitress had us to pay for the two appetizers we got. May I add they forgot about one of them. For the first time the biscuits were not good, they tasted very salty and oily. We didn’t finish them. I’m not sure if that was butter used and there was no flavor of honey at all. They gave me a $10 gift card that has to be used in 6 days. I gave it back to the hostess and told her I live two hours away, so I will not be able to use it. Should never had came out on Mother’s Day but we thought we were good because we made a reservation. My husband even added extra time incase there was a delay. They used all of that time up.
