Unfortunately, when we sat down, our waitress said hello and got lost. When she finally came over, we placed our order and everything started coming out wrong. We got almost frozen slice of potato omelette,, the ham croquettes were on top of a guava sauce, but it did not specify. Nobody was there to help us and we felt completely ignored. Maybe it's because we were a small table because the big tables around us were getting taken care of. Try to tell the manager what was going on, but he didn't seem to care either so we got up and left. Beware!

I really wanted to like this place since it was my first time visiting, and I went with a friend. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Most of our food came out before our drinks even arrived. The Patatas Bravas were under-seasoned and cooked far too hard, the meatballs were bland, and the sliders were burned. I also had to ask the server several times for items that were never brought to our table.
Maybe we came on an off night, but first impressions matter. Based on this experience, I probably won’t be coming back and will choose to spend my money somewhere that provides better food and service.

Came in yesterday to sit at the bar (Sunday) and was pleasantly surprised to catch their happy hour. Sangria was good but other aspects of our time at Boqueria were just okay. Restaurant felt unusually warm so not sure if they were having AC troubles but it was a little uncomfortable. We also saw a bug crawling around on the box of silverware which they promptly took care of when we asked. They also mistakenly added someone else’s drink to our bill which was also promptly taken care of too. Not ideal but they were nice and addressed those concerns quickly. Tapas on the happy hour menu were just okay as we felt they were a bit small and bland. Overall I would maybe come back for a happy hour drink but wouldn’t go out of my way to have dinner here.

Mannnn! This food was so good! Angus beef sliders were so delectable. Would 9.5/10. So juicy with with bacon jam as a sweet, crunchy surprise. The wings . . . 100/10!!! The Zatar, sweet & sour sauce was a true treat. Our server, Brittany was new and training but she made an excellent recommendation to go with a pitcher of the red sangria. It was perfectly sweet, but with a bite of tang. It was the right amount for two to share and paired well with everything we ate which also included the crispy calamari, pinxtos morunos (lamb skewers), and tortilla espanola. Very excited to come back again. Also, hope to see Brittany next time! She is excellent and very personable, making a great experience for my husband and I.

We visited Boqueria as a party of four for what was supposed to be a celebratory dinner and unfortunately left feeling embarrassed, harassed, and incredibly disappointed.
The food itself was about a 6/10 and nowhere near worth the price. Even more concerning, multiple members of our party became sick the following morning after dining here, which only added to an already unpleasant experience.
Our bill totaled hundreds of dollars. When I paid, there was an additional charge of roughly $60, and I believed that amount included gratuity or some type of automatic service charge because it was unclear to me whether it represented only tax or included any service charge. Separately, other members of our party also tipped the server, including one guest who placed a separate to-go order of approximately $60 and tipped 20% on that order. By the end of the night, the server had received well over $100 in tips from our party.
The service was not horrible, but it also was not exceptional. We had multiple order mistakes, including to-go items being brought to the table instead and arriving before portions of our dine-in meal. Our server also did not bring out most of our food—other staff members did. Nothing was catastrophic, but nothing stood out as exceptional either.
The experience completely changed as we were leaving. Victoria, the manager, stopped us and questioned why there was no tip on the transaction. She never asked who had paid for the meal or whether gratuity had already been provided separately. Instead, she retrieved another system and displayed my transaction and card transaction information to the rest of my party while discussing the lack of a tip. I found that to be an incredible invasion of privacy and completely unprofessional.
To make matters worse, it was insinuated that the staff remained after closing because of our table, despite the fact that multiple other tables were still there while staff members were already cleaning and resetting the restaurant. At no point were we ever asked to leave, yet we were made to feel responsible for employees staying late.
We even returned to explain how inappropriate this interaction was, expecting an apology. Instead, Victoria, the manager, told us that she was simply “advocating for her staff.” Even more concerning, after reviewing the transactions afterward, we discovered that a five-star review had been submitted through another guest’s payment process without her knowledge or consent, which only added to our concerns about how customer transactions and reviews were handled that evening.
The issue is not tipping. The issue is professionalism. Here’s one tip for Boqueria: Exceptional tips are earned through exceptional service—they are not expected, demanded, or pressured out of paying customers. The food was not exceptional, the service was not exceptional, and the management was, quite frankly, horrible. That is what we will remember most about our experience, and because of it, none of us will be returning..
