Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Every interaction I’ve had (5-6~ visits now) has been pleasant and the food is always perfect. I almost left 4 stars since the drive through line usually takes a while, but usually when I get to the window it doesn’t take long. Thanks for saving me from a hangry evening 😁

He made sure I got everything I needed: straws, condiments, and napkins. Jakari had the best customer service I've seen in a while. A huge asset to Whataburger!!

Shoutout to Ayhana and the team on shift that night. Still got my order in even though I placed and kitchen was closed. Food was fire too. Management, take notes and change the hours. - DLDeron LillardApr 26, 20261.0As a native Texan who grew up on Whataburger, I am deeply disappointed to see how the service times have deteriorated at these newer stores. While I have known for most of my life that the burgers are made to order, the staffing needs to be drastically improved. I have visited this location several times after college football games and a major concert and the management is apparently oblivious to staffing the restaurant for busy times. Waiting almost an hour or more for a single order is unacceptable! The franchisee needs to be held accountable for this. While I appreciate having a location close to my home, service like this will cause it to close and that would be a shame!
