  .......food was disappointing. Gnocchi was dense,. The. Cacio e Pepe was over spiced, but not with black pepper...little taste of cheese. Over-cooked Bucatini. Great room and good service. The Sauvignon was way overpriced. A bottle of TRAMIN SAUVIGNON retails for $16....how can you charge $18 per glass? Won't be back!

  Ian was our server and he did an outstanding job. He was knowledgeable of everything on the menu and was articulate, polite, funny, and most of all respectful. Hats off to the chef, of course, everything was cooked perfectly and to order. The gift and special touch to the menu for our 10th wedding anniversary was a pleasant surprise. We love this place and will be back soon!

  Food was enjoyable enough in the moment. We ordered the Family Style Chef's Tasting and were overwhelmed with the amount of food we received. Our server, Zak, assuered us we could take whatever we didnt finish home. As he took our plates, he assured us he would box up our leftovers and bring them with the check. Lo and behold, the next day when we go to reheat our leftovers we find the bag he packed for us contained almost none of our leftovers, just a couple slices of pizza from our first course. I suppose we should have checked the bag before leaving, like you do when you order from McDonald's. At least the McDonald's staff gets *part* of the order right, unlike the Osteria Olio staff who couldn't care less. Abysmal service has ruined the memory of an otherwise appropriate dining experience. I'll tell every person who will listen to NEVER come to this establishment due to the flagrant and flippant way our food was handled.

  This is one of those restaurants where they think they are a whole lot better than they are. Food was good but not worth the price. $96 for 22 oz NY Strip that was unevenly cooked. We ordered it medium rare And we got a steak that ranged from well done to medium to medium rare. 6 oz of Wahoo for $56 bucks, again a rip off. Pasta plates were child sizes. Come on its Pasta it cost nothing. Give a proper serving. No need to return to this place.

  Let me start by saying that the restaurant itself is beautiful, and we were genuinely looking forward to having a nice dinner here. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. A friend and I, both women of color, were visiting Athens for a business trip and decided to stop by for dinner. When we arrived, we asked for a table for two and were told that there were no tables available without a reservation. We were offered the option to sit in the lounge area to have drinks and food, so we decided to give it a try. Shortly after we arrived, a white couple came in behind us and was given the same option to sit in the lounge. While we were waiting, I overheard them mention that they should have made a reservation. We sat in the lounge for approximately 35 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We were eventually given water and menus. While we were looking over the menu, a waitress approached the couple sitting next to us and asked if they would like to be seated at a table. This was incredibly confusing and upsetting. We had been told that there were no tables available without a reservation, yet the couple who arrived after us—who also did not appear to have a reservation—was offered a table while we were not. Given that we are both women of color, the difference in treatment was difficult not to notice and left us questioning whether we were being treated differently because of our race. Despite this, we decided to give the restaurant another chance. After receiving our menus and waters, we waited another 25 minutes before our server came back to us. We ordered drinks, which unfortunately were underwhelming as well. At that point, we decided it was best to simply pay for our drinks and leave. We had only taken a couple of sips, but we no longer felt comfortable staying. The staff was generally polite, so I don’t want to characterize the experience as openly hostile. However, we were made to feel as though we were not a priority, especially when compared with the treatment of other customers who arrived after us. We left feeling disappointed, upset, and, most importantly, unwelcome. I hope management takes this experience seriously. Regardless of a customer’s race, everyone should feel equally welcomed, acknowledged, and valued when they walk through the door.
