Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
I don't foresee this location being open within the next 2 to 3 years unless they make some drastic changes to wait time (specifically Drive Thru) and efficiency.
I don't think I'll be frequent this place any further.
Only 2 people in drive thru and no customers in the building and it's early morning.
No sense in this.

Jenny was Awesome. We visited today and was welcolmed with the most genuine greeting. Everything was prepared perfectly. We hope that she is present when we return in the future. This location is a must visit.

Place sucks. Self order board is slow, hard to use and worthless. The place is about as welcoming as an outhouse. We walked out after trying to order. No employee interaction or help.

A friend with whom I’d visited the location reached out a few hours after and reported having fallen incredibly ill (food poisoning). They mentioned that they’ll be reaching out to the DPH.
If that’s not a dealer-breaker for you, then be prepared for the longest wait times combined with the worst customer service in the world. During our visit, both the employees present (one of whom wore a manager tag) were extremely rude, and even outright ignored a member of our party when they asked a question about a menu item.
Despite that we were there late at night, I’d say the entire establishment was in total disarray. There was trash everywhere, a pool around the soft drinks machine, and a smoke alarm “low battery” chime continued to sound every minute or so. Nobody was at the front when we’d arrived, and we had to call out to someone in the back.
Overall, absolutely not my favorite experience. Another few minutes on the highway up to exit 14 and you’ll get a far higher quality burger, with far better quality service and a much cleaner space. If we’re comparing Whataburger only, of course.

Service was great with the exception that they sold me a meal with fries plus an additional order of fries. He asked if I wanted fries and I said "sure, let's do a small fry" so they added a small fry in addition to what already came with the meal. The burger was bad. I got the standard cheese whataburger and it wasn't even good enough to finish, unfortunately. The guy taking the order was nice enough (aside from tacking on another order of fries) and the woman who took payment and gave you the food was also nice. First and only time I'll visit.
