    Very disappointing and honestly felt misleading. I saw the $6 promotion and called the store beforehand specifically to ask if the item was the regular size. I was told yes, absolutely — the regular size. When I picked up my order, it was packed inside a bag, so I didn’t see the actual size until I got home. When I opened it, I was honestly shocked. The portion was extremely small — not even close to what I expected from a regular size. It was barely bigger than my hand. I understand that promotions can have different pricing, but when you specifically call and ask about the size and are told it’s the regular size, you expect exactly that. Instead, I felt like I was given a much smaller product and made to believe I was getting a good deal. The $6 price didn’t feel like a discount or a good promotion — it felt like I simply paid $6 for a very small portion. I’m extremely disappointed and honestly feel misled as a customer. I expected much better from Tropical Smoothie Cafe. After this experience, I don’t plan on coming back, and I believe the company should make this right and provide some type of compensation.

    I love tropical smoothie and I am frequently at this location. I’ve always had a good experience; good customer service, clean environment and my order is always correct. I get the same thing every time no matter what location. A few days ago my experience was unexpected and unnecessary. I ordered 2 of the same smoothies for me and my daughter. While waiting, I saw that the young lady who was preparing was possibly new so yes, I watched. When she finished correctly adding the ingredients she went to the blender but after mixing she poured and realized she didn’t make enough for two smoothies. She had only made enough for 1 and a half smoothies, not two. I didn’t say anything, I just watched to see how this would be handled. The young man instructed her to take the half drink, pour it back into the blender and to add more product…not ice That’s when I interrupted, and asked to see the other smoothie. Why, because I watched her add ingredients from the beginning and she had all the ingredients and measurements correct, I think she just didn’t add enough ice. I tried to tell the two young innocent kids but I was interrupted by the (I think) manager. The manager over talked me the whole time loudly saying…WE ARE GOING TO MAKE YOU ANOTHER SMOOTHIE. I kept trying to explain but was met with dismissive responses. She just wasn’t listening nor trying to understand what I was saying. Because she was making a scene, I politely asked her if she would come closer to me so I can explain and she didn’t want to do that. She was so dismissive that I just gave up. She walked to the register to finish ringing up customers and I saw her roll her eyes with irritation. I was so confused, I was trying to explain that I didn’t want to waste the first batch of smoothies, just to add ice but somehow I was the problem. I gave up, they thru out perfectly good smoothies, I stood there with disbelief and disappointment. I can honestly say that, I was so offended and upset but I had to get control of my emotions because it was very clear that I wasn’t the problem. In my 47 years here on earth I have learned that sometimes it’s not me. That lady clearly had to be having a overwhelming hectic day or is just a mean, dismissive and impatient person but either way it doesn’t feel good to be treated that way especially when I come to that location often if I’m not traveling. I will say this, out of the 15 plus times of coming there, I’ve never seen her before. I am giving 3 stars because other than this lady/manager, I never had an issue. If she is reading this, I hope you are having a better day than the day we interacted and now realize how you turned a fixable mistake into an unnecessary issue.     Do not recommend this location. My food was missing from my order. I used the last money I had to buy lunch while I was at work and I explained this to them. So now I will have or finish a 12 hour shift STARVING! My total was $65 and my food was the only items that were missing. The store refused to do anything to correct it. Horrible customer service and so disheartening !
