We had an incredible experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and welcoming. Our waiter, Rob, truly made the evening exceptional. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave fantastic recommendations that helped us choose some of the best items on the menu. Every suggestion was spot on, and his outstanding service made our dining experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious; perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Every course exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for an amazing steakhouse with incredible food, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere, Oak Steakhouse is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

We recently dined here and, while the steak was excellent, our overall experience was disappointing because of how a food safety issue was handled. There was a fly in our salad. The employee who brought the food (who wasn’t our actual server) took the salad back and said he would bring us another one. Later, the chef came to let us know they were out of the potato purée we had ordered and asked if we wanted a substitute. At that point, we mentioned the fly in the salad, and it seemed he was completely unaware of what had happened. We told him not to worry about replacing the salad because we no longer wanted it. Despite that conversation, another salad was still brought to our table. We declined it. Our waitress never acknowledged the fly, so I brought it up to her. Her response was, “I thought the chef took care of it.” She then got the manager, who apologized and asked what he could do to make things right. In a situation involving a foreign object in food, I don’t think the burden should be on the customer to decide the resolution. A manager should already have a plan for handling something like this. He offered us a complimentary dessert, which we initially declined because we were ready to leave. Our waitress later apologized and offered the dessert again, and we accepted it to go. We were never looking for a free meal. Accidents can happen, and we understand that. What disappointed us was the lack of communication, coordination among the staff, and what felt like an inadequate response to a food safety issue. Even after everything, we were presented with the full bill without any adjustment for the inconvenience. The steak was very good, and that’s the only reason I’m not leaving a lower rating. I hope management uses this as an opportunity to improve how situations like this are handled in the future, because a sincere, well coordinated response can make all the difference.

We went out for a date at Oak Steakhouse, and we were not disappointed. The waiter named Amir served us with courtesy from beginning till end, ensuring that everything suited our tastes. The meals were delicious; our steaks were well prepared, and all the appetizers we tasted were really good. We even tried something new – key lime pie, and it was just amazing.

We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary at Oak Steakhouse, and Moe made the entire evening so special! It was also my very first time trying steak, and it definitely did not disappoint. The food, service, and atmosphere were all incredible, and Moe went above and beyond to make our night memorable. We can’t wait to come back for any occasion!

Oak in Avalon is a suburban imitation of a steakhouse. The result is premium prices without the real premium experience. My visit was with a moderately sized group. Our service was pretty good. Attentive, friendly, helpful. No complaints there at all. A 9/10 for that alone. The atmosphere is fine. It seems like it is attempting to mimic the feel of the original Charleston flagship location, but doesn’t come close to achieving it. It's a moderately sized dining room, with an open kitchen and bar all connected to the main room. Nothing special, but not bad. The wine list is probably the low point. Both the value and selection are terrible. It includes grocery store brands at eye watering markup, and not much to really impress. I understand restaurants make a lot of their profit on wines, but it's tough to justify that with this sort of selection. The food varied. Some of the starters were quite good, and their oysters were fresh and a nice selection, though their mignonette was pretty bad. Most of the food, including the entrees, were just fine. Nothing impressive, though definitely not bad. The problem with that is that they are priced as fine dining, and the food just doesn't justify that. Overall, we had a good experience at Oak, largely thanks to our waiter. It's fine for a casual date night or business meal, but not somewhere you want to go to impress or be impressed.
