How this place has 4 stars is beyond me. Dead as can be yet so many tables filled with trash. The margaritas were disgusting. We found 2 hairs in our queso and dipped out before food could get out. GROSS!!!

I am not someone who likes to leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, I feel that I have to be honest about my experience at this restaurant. The restaurant is called Margarita Cocina Mexicana, but unfortunately, very little about our experience felt authentically Mexican. We ordered horchata, a traditional Mexican drink, and it was disappointing and did not taste authentic at all.
The food was also very disappointing. The rice was undercooked, and the beans tasted like they came straight from a can and were already starting to spoil. They had an unpleasant taste. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes, which made us feel that it was not freshly prepared but instead reheated in a microwave.
The service was also not good. The waitress did not understand what my friend was trying to explain to her regarding the change from the money we paid. In addition, the menu did not have pictures of the dishes they serve, which would have been helpful.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I honestly have to wonder how a restaurant with this level of food and service can continue to attract customers. I hope the management takes this review seriously and makes improvements.
Food was bland and tasteless. I got the chickens tostadas and I couldn't make it past the 2nd bite. Also the street corn is way different than what I'm used to and went uneaten as well. They charge $8 for one ear if corn with a tiny bit of smelly cheese and weird mayo on it. Best thing I was served was a corona and even the lime was dry. We won't be back. <\3

I came in early on a Monday, I was so early that I was the only guest there. I was greeted immediately by Brooke. I went with the lunch enchiladas and added a tamale. I first asked Brooke if they were made with the corn stalk and she said they were. I have been told that multiple times since I moved to Florida and they have not been. To my surprise they were! They were just like the tamales my old boss made in Minnesota (he was originally from Mexico City.) Everything at this restaurant is perfect. The food is amazing, Brooke makes a great drink, is friendly, and attentive to guest's needs, the restaurant is clean. I could not be happier. I live in Poinciana but will happily make the drive for this great restaurant.

I don't know how this restaurant has 4.7 stars. When we are there, the food was mediocre at best. It's obvious they are just using bagged/canned food and not trying too hard otherwise. Very disappointed. Which is unfortunate because they are obviously owned by Ovation which is a great restaurant
