We just moved to the area. We’ve ate out plenty of times here. But my first delivery experience started out horrible. I placed an order for our family & waited over an hour. Then spoke to McKayla saying that DoorDash has never picked my order up & it had been sitting there. She was concerned & truthful. I ordered this directly off of Woody’s website. After I called for waiting almost 2 hours, Jason immediately called me back within minutes. He apologized & was very professional. He told me that somehow there must be a glitch in the system & they would refund me. THEN he said that he would remake the food & reliever to me himself!!! In this type of economy, integrity & good service is hard to find. But wow , Woody’s has an AMAZING employee there! Jason went above and beyond to satisfy my expectations & experience. Because of Jason I ended up getting my food & still standing behind this amazing restaurant! Woody’s you have such a devoted employee working for you. He kept telling me “I’m more concerned with what our customers experience with us than anything” Thank you Jason!!! Hands down the best ending for our family! You are a leader & truly genuine about your dedication to your job!

Woody’s Bar-B-Q in Wauchula is an absolute gem! It has that perfect, relaxed, and welcoming local BBQ joint vibe that makes you feel right at home the second you walk in.The food is phenomenal. Their slow-smoked meats are packed with flavor, especially the baby back ribs which genuinely fall right off the bone. The portions are incredibly generous, the sides are delicious, and you absolutely cannot leave without trying the banana pudding! The service is fantastic, warm, and highly attentive. It’s clear that the local owner and team take huge pride in what they do and care about the community. Whether you're stopping in for a casual family dinner or hitting one of their weekly event nights, this place never misses. Easily a 5-star experience

Stopped in for lunch on our way passing through to Orlando and it was fantastic. Owner was such a lovely guy and the food was BANGING!!! SUCH GOOD FOOD!!!!!! The owner also kindly gave us a free basket of deep fried pork rinds to munch on whilst we waited and they were fab. I had ribs and they were delicious, really tender. My dad and boyfriend had the brisket which was melt in the mouth and the chicken tenders were great. The beans were 10/10 as well!

Average barbecue. Pretty good pulled pork, brisket was decent but dry, pit beans were not good and tasted like dirty burnt smoke, green beans were very salty.
