  I won’t be coming back to this Chipotle, and I will be sure to notify my friends & family to never eat here. I watched the server (larger build girl with the tattoos) pick pieces of steak from the person in front of me back into the serving container, the steak that was cross-contaminated with rice and beans already. You can check the cameras and see for yourself. It was around 9pm on 8/9. I can only hope they retrain their staff to do better. To future customers, Good Luck! You really have no way of knowing whether your food has been placed into someone else’s order and then returned.

  Sunday Evening - 8/9/2026 Management seriously needs to reevaluate the training and food-handling practices of the employees working this shift. I ordered a bowl with half BBQ chicken and half steak, but the employee mistakenly made it with steak only. When I pointed out the mistake, I watched her PICK THE PIECES OF STEAK OUT OF MY BOWL WITH HER HANDS AND PUT THEM DIRECTLY BACK INTO THE MAIN STEAK SERVING CONTAINER. THAT IS A DIRECT HEALTH VIOLATION. I immediately asked her if she was actually allowed to do that, and her response was, “Yes, it happens all the time. Food goes flying everywhere.” There is a major difference between food accidentally falling between containers during normal service and deliberately taking food that has already been placed into a customer’s bowl and returning it to the communal serving container. On top of that, the entire serving area was extremely messy, and the employee preparing our food demonstrated very poor hygiene and food-handling practices throughout the interaction. At minimum, this employee needs serious retraining on sanitation, cross-contamination, and proper food-handling procedures. If this really “happens all the time,” as she claimed, then there is a much larger management and training problem at this location. Customers should be able to trust that food placed into another customer’s order is not being put back into the containers everyone else is being served from. Absolutely disgusting...

  I’ve always been a fan of Chipotle, and I’ve visited locations in several different areas. In my experience, the other locations have consistently provided reasonable, generous portions. Unfortunately, the Venice location has been a completely different experience. I have visited this location four times, and each time I have received the same extremely small portions. It honestly seems like there is an effort to put as little food as possible into the bowl. With their prices continuing to increase, the portions at this location are simply unacceptable. I have no problem paying a fair price for a good meal, but the amount of the portion being served at this location is unacceptable. And No I'm not interested in paying for an "extra" half a spoonful for $4.85 that's a crime I really like Chipotle, which is what makes this so disappointing. I hope management takes a serious look at portion sizes and consistency at the Venice location.

  Went the first week it was opened and the corporate launch staff was great. Good portions and good service. Left a good impression. Went back just a few days ago and the girl serving me seemed horribly offended when I asked for more than half a scoop of rice beans etc. Love chipotle but between the CEO talking about raising prices just because they can and the trend of small portions and sub par service at almost every location it may be time to move on.
