  I have been coming here for years since it opened. I love the atmosphere. We had a table w a beautiful view of the water. The decor is old Fl. The filet medallions were good. I think it could have been more flavorful. I didn't like the collards. We got the great early bird special on the Maine lobster. I have had lobster all of my 60 plus years here in Fl, but I have never had to open it myself. My husband's lobster was cut properly, but mine was very hard to get out. Our waiter forgot my greens and our dessert. They weren't even very busy at the time. I would rate the peanut butter pie as average.

  came here two days in a row! we’re in town to tour around fort de soto, and chill on the beach. we wrapped each night up with billy’s. and it hit the spot every time.

  We will revisit based on others reviews, The view is divine. We were very disappointed in the stone crabs. It was almost impossible to get them out of the shell. The bar seems like a hangout in the best way. It’s very casual. A typical seafood menu. It has a great vibe.

  My experience at Billy’s Stone Crab was extremely disappointing. Our company had a team dinner here with about 20 people. I ordered the lobster and from the very first bite, I could tell something wasn’t right. It tasted off and overcooked. I even asked a coworker to try it, and they agreed. Not long after leaving, I became violently ill and spent the next couple days vomiting and feeling extremely sick. Several of my coworkers who also ordered the lobster reported getting sick as well. Others commented that the seafood, including the stone crab, tasted unpleasant and was difficult to eat. What disappointed me even more was the restaurant’s response. Our HR department contacted Billy’s simply to let them know what happened. We weren’t asking for a refund, free food, or any compensation. Just to make them aware. Instead, we were essentially told it was our fault and there was no concern or empathy. Whether or not they believe the food was responsible, dismissing multiple customers who became ill after the same meal is unacceptable. A simple apology and willingness to look into the situation would have gone a long way. Based on the food and the response, I can’t recommend dining here.

  Made a reservation for 730 no problem we were sat right away service was great young woman did a great job. The food on the other hand was a different story wife ordered hog fish it was definitely not hog fish. Some sort of white fish not even in the grouper family they tried to pass off as hog fish for 42$ the other grouper we ordered was almost like a flounder and the shrimp dinner came out with 8 little fried shrimp. First time here and we will definitely not be back after 200$ meal was very disappointing. Full plates went back to the kitchen and not a manger to even ask how are meal was. Not saying don’t go here but if you do just get some bar food and call it a day.
