Instead, I was handed a regular sweet lemonade along with a separate cup of berry topping and was expected to mix it myself. What made this even more confusing is that I later observed another customer leaving with what appeared to be a properly prepared berry lemonade already mixed and served in a clear cup. This made me question why my drink was not prepared the same way. When I asked the drive-thru cashier if I could switch the drink to a Sunjoy, I was told there would be an additional upcharge, even though I had already been charged an extra 40 cents for the hibiscus berry lemonade. Thankfully, an assistant manager stepped in and said not to worry about the additional charge. Unfortunately, the problems continued. After leaving, we discovered that the Sunjoy was made with sweet tea and sweet lemonade, even though we specifically ordered unsweet tea and lemonade. We turned around and returned to have it corrected. The replacement drink appeared to have been poured into another cup, had no ice, the lid was messy, and it was still not prepared correctly. The issue is not the 40-cent charge. The real problem was the attitude of the employee who wanted to charge another upcharge simply to switch the drink, the inconsistency in how the berry lemonade was prepared and served, and the poor handling of the replacement order. Mistakes happen, but customer service and attention to detail matter. This experience was frustrating and not what I have come to expect from Chick-fil-A. This man was singing, smiling, and serving positive vibes with my chicken. I drove up stressed and left feeling like I had just attended a motivational seminar and a concert at the same time.
