Had the ahi tuna app, the beef bulgogi bowl, and the balance drink; one of the best appatizers ive ever had! The taste, presentation, creativity, texture - everything! The beef was also cooked perfectly. The kids menu actually has real food on it, smaller versions of some of their food items. Our server was amazing and brought out our kids meal within minutes! It looks and feels like an upscale resturant but has very reasonable prices for the quality.
I ordered tantanmen ramen and took it across the street to eat with some friend. The noodles was soggy and clump together in chunks, it tasted like eating a chunk of unflavored dough. It advertised comes with egg, got no egg. Overall one of the worse ramen I’ve ever tried. I usually finish all my food but I could not finish the ramen at all. It was not worth $22.
Atmospher looks nice inside, but didn’t stay since I took it across the street to eat with friends.
5 Stars! 🍜

Wagamama on Water Street exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant, modern, and welcoming. The service was outstanding friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.
The restaurant is nicely located in downtown Tampa, and the ambience is great! However, the food is poor. We ordered the crispy tuna rice, chicken katsu curry, and chicken teriyaki fried rice. The crispy tuna rice was not crispy - the outside looked crispy but the inside was mushy and did not complement the fish. The chicken katsu curry only had curry sauce, not enough compared to the amount of rice given. The chicken teriyaki was alright, but everything we ordered was pretty bland. Given this is an asian fusion restaurant, and we are asian, we were expecting a bit more from the taste of the food. The service was alright, our server was great but the hostess was a bit unwelcoming. Overall not sure if we’d come back.
