The pasta experience didn’t quite meet my expectations compared to other places I’ve visited. It felt very basic—prepared with hot water—whereas other restaurants elevate it by finishing it over fire, creating a much more refined experience.
For the price, it felt underwhelming, especially considering there were no options for sides—only the choice of protein.
That said, the protein itself was well-prepared and flavorful. Overall, it’s decent, but the experience and value don’t quite match what you would expect at this price point. You need reservation for not wait line
We went to Timpano Hyde Park on Mother’s Day and had a great experience. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was perfect. We’ll definitely be going back again. Highly recommend checking it out.
Came in for dinner recently. It was extremely hot inside to the point we considered leaving; also very loud. Our server was great but the dishes weren’t anything extraordinary - we had the branzino (really good sauce but the fish itself was bland) and chicken parm. Neither had a side included. Overall fairly mid experience.
went to this restaurant with some friends visiting me here in Tampa while we were walking around Hyde Park. It was still early, before 5 PM, and we simply wanted to know if they were already serving food and to ask a few questions about the menu.
The hostess handed us the menus, but before we could even ask anything, she turned around and walked away, leaving us basically talking to ourselves. It felt very dismissive and unwelcoming.
I understand people can be busy, but I’ve honestly never experienced this kind of interaction at a restaurant before. A little friendliness and communication would have made a big difference.

Timpano in Hyde Park absolutely blew me away. From the moment I sat down, everything just hit. The vibe is effortlessly elevated but still relaxed. Absolutely perfect for a solo date or a cute lunch moment.
First of all, I have to talk about my server, Guillermo. . Because WOW. Attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the menu. Every single recommendation he made? Spot on. Like… not one miss. You can tell when someone genuinely knows the food and wants you to have an experience, not just a meal.
Now the food…
I ordered the Wagyu carpaccio with truffle mushrooms and the truffle fries, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it exceeded my expectations. The carpaccio was melt-in-your-mouth perfection! Delicate, rich, and balanced with that earthy truffle flavor that just lingers in the best way. And those fries?? Crispy, indulgent, and absolutely covered in flavor. No skimping here.
The cocktails. . .👌🏼 Perfect! Light, refreshing, beautifully presented, and just the right level of elevated. You know when a drink looks pretty but also actually tastes incredible? Yeah, it was like that.
Everything about this place feels intentional, from the plating to the service to the atmosphere. It’s one of those spots where you leave already planning your next visit.
10/10. Ask for Guillermo. Trust him. Order the truffle everything. ✨
