first time back in awhile, the bar was soo good, so friendly, so attentive but the green shirt uniforms are an absolute no. bring back the all black, so much more classier.

I went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday by myself, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience.
I started with the fried calamari, which wasn’t bad. I specifically came to have the cacio e pepe, but when it arrived, it didn’t even look appetizing. I decided to give it a chance anyway, and the taste was terrible. There was so much whole black pepper that I ended up with a peppercorn stuck in my tooth.
I told the server that this wasn’t what I expected. She offered to let me order something else, so I chose the rigatoni instead. Sadly, that dish was even worse. I found a whole clove of garlic in the pasta, the tomatoes were burned, and the overall flavor was unpleasant.
At that point, I just asked to have it wrapped to go. I also ordered a bombolone for dessert, hoping to end the meal on a positive note, but it was covered in an overwhelming amount of raw sugar and wasn’t enjoyable either.
Imagine going out alone to celebrate your birthday, looking forward to a special meal, only to be served food this disappointing. I ended up paying $107 for a meal I couldn’t enjoy. It was a very unfortunate experience, and I left feeling disappointed rather than celebrated.I won’t never recommend this place

Mallori is the best bartender in Tampa!! She gave phenomenal recommendations, was extremely attentive, and just made our entire night with her kind & personable self. The food was great, the bar is cute, but Mallori was the best part of our night. You can tell she genuinely cares about her craft and each person that comes in- I’ll keep coming just for her and highly recommend anyone to check the bar out simply to experience the fun and welcoming atmosphere she creates.

The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance. The servers were friendly and attentive. My friend and I had the brussels sprouts, focaccia, and tableside pesto with shrimp-all delicious! The menu states that the tableside pesto serves 2-3 people. My friend and I split it then had plenty leftover to take home. I look forward to going back!
We enjoyed our evening at Timpano and had a good time together. The restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is lively, and overall we enjoyed our dinner. That said, we left feeling that the experience didn't quite justify the prices.
My husband ordered the steak, and I had the sea bass. While the food was good, my sea bass portion was surprisingly small for a $54 entrée—significantly smaller than photos I've seen in other reviews. Since sides are served à la carte, the portion size felt even more disappointing.
Another thing that stood out was how quickly the food arrived after ordering. While prompt service is appreciated, it made us wonder how much of the meal was prepared fresh to order.
Our server was pleasant and did a fine job throughout the evening. Unfortunately, our first impression wasn't as positive, as the host seemed somewhat dismissive and unfriendly.
Overall, Timpano is a beautiful restaurant with good food, but we felt the value simply wasn't there for the price point.
