  Only place I’ll buy meat for my family! All the Employees are amazing and super helpful! Love the quality of meat . I use their bones with marrow for a broth and our dog loves it on his food (also great for vitamins for humans esp in pregnancy). They always make great suggestions too if I need help. Great place to get beef liver as well . Love coming here and won’t shop anywhere else for meat!

  Came in and grabbed a couple steaks, as I’m new to the area and the grocery stores here carry poor quality meat. Got a nice, well marbled ribeye and a wagyu sirloin. I salt and peppered them and put them on the grill. Cooked them to a perfect medium rare, and man- they came out perfect. Both were delicious! Very happy with the steaks. My only beef (pun intended) was I stood around waiting to get helped and they kept skipping me. Nobody greeted me when I came in- just not super friendly folks (customers or employees). I almost walked out. (Glad I didn’t) But the steaks were great, the prices were fair for the quality and I’ll be back.

  Great quality service. Amazing customer service. Eduardo knew where their meat comes from he had extensive expertise and knowledge of everything in stock. not only was it refreshing but also very appreciated. What they do is what has been disappearing and missing due to all these high corporate stores. This place is amazing, highly recommended. Amazing job Eduardo you got yourself a loyal customer in me

  Yesterday was my first time visiting this butcher and I am so glad I did. The quality of the meat is excellent, and you can immediately tell the difference compared to what you find at a typical grocery store and the prices are comparable, especially if you get something on special. Also everyone I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They took the time to answer questions, make recommendations, etc. Hoping this place stays around for a long time because I’ll definitely be a regular customer!

  If you’re in the carrollwood area there is no reason you shouldn’t be using this butcher shop for all your meat. Even without the weekly deals and discounts they beat out these big grocery stores on both price and quality. The quality of meat they have makes sprouts, Whole Foods, and fresh market taste like Walmart quality meat. I will never use anyone else but southern steer for my meat, they’ve won my loyalty. Also all the employees there are very polite and welcoming. All around great business and a must if you care about quality and savings.
