- DWDarren W3 days ago5.0I stopped by Pollo Tropical in Carrollwood and had a surprisingly really good meal. What makes their chicken a little different from a lot of fast food places is the citrus-marinated flavor they use before grilling it. You can actually taste the lime and seasoning in the chicken instead of it just tasting salty or overly greasy. The rice and beans were fresh and comforting, and the cuatro leches dessert was honestly the perfect sweet finish. It’s one of those spots that feels a little more homemade and flavorful than your average quick chicken place.
