One of the worst McDonald's you will ever go to. Terribly rude and nasty people working and nothing will be made right. Mostly cold over cooked food missing main ingredients. McDonald's should be ashamed to allow this place to operate.

I’ve been going to this McDonald’s for maybe 10 years now I think out of 20 times I’ve ordered here I’ve gotten my order wrong like 18 times I usually don’t even make reviews but oh my god the customer service is horrendous I order a SAUSAGE EGG AND CHEESE BAGEL some how I end up with 2 burritos and when I ask about my bagel I get a “I don’t have that on my screen” I don’t give a damn what’s on your screen I got what I got regardless, this location is just terrible I rather drive farther and go to the Fowler or fletcher location. This location somehow always messes up my order and every time I confront people about it I’m hit with lame ass excuses or everyone plays dumb and clueless no one ever takes accountability and it’s just annoying.

I don’t understand why these people at this location keep giving me horrible food, they never make my food right, I get shorted on items I paid for or they just ignore my request. This is not how the sandwich is supposed to be made, only on strip of bacon when the order comes with 3, lettuce everywhere and hardly any Cesar dressing, chicken over cooked like always. I am sick of this kind of service.

I ordered from the McDonald’s app for a pick up and when I got there, I waited a Half an hour in the drive-through before I called into the store to let them know they had customers outside waiting. She then told me to pull up to the window when I pulled up to the window. She told me they don’t have lunch food and I lose my points and I will have to contact the app for further assistance. I then asked for the number for corporate they would not give it to me as other customers arrived, they tried to move me out of the way to serve them. This was a complete disappointment. I don’t know what store Miss Peggy works at on a consistent basis, but she should not come back to this one.

I honestly don’t understand why it’s so difficult for most of the McDonald’s locations in the Tampa area to find employees who are friendly, upbeat, and welcoming in the morning. The only exception I’ve consistently experienced is the location on Fletcher Avenue near USF. I understand that most people would rather be at home than at work. We all would. But for those who are on the job, it doesn’t take much to smile, be courteous, and know how to do the job efficiently. This morning, I visited the McDonald’s at 8214 North Florida Avenue in Tampa, and unfortunately, it was another disappointing experience. I pulled into the drive-thru and waited my turn. After the car in the left lane pulled away, I sat there for about 30 seconds without anyone acknowledging me. I finally said, “Hello?” After another couple of minutes of trying to get someone’s attention, I was finally greeted—but the response came across as rude, as if I were bothering the person working the drive-thru. I explained that I had a mobile order and was ready to provide my code. Instead, the employee switched over to the other drive-thru lane and began speaking to the other customer. She asked them for their code, and the customer replied with what sounded like an order number. She then told that customer, “That’s not a mobile order. Are you trying to use a survey code?” At that point, it should have been obvious she was talking to the wrong vehicle—but instead of realizing the mistake, I was simply left sitting there. By then, I was frustrated. I pulled up to the first window, but no one was there. When the second window became available, I drove forward and was asked what I had ordered. I explained that no one had actually taken my mobile order because the employee switched speakers and never came back to me. I gave them my mobile order number, and they told me to pull ahead to the next window while my food was prepared. The only employee who showed any kindness during the entire experience was the older gentleman who brought out my food. He greeted me pleasantly, handed me my order, and wished me a great day. He was the only person there who showed even the slightest bit of genuine customer service. What bothered me most wasn’t just the mistake—it was the complete lack of accountability. There was no apology for ignoring me, no apology for switching to the wrong lane, and no apology for the delay. It was simply business as usual. Ironically, I stopped going to the McDonald’s at Fowler Avenue and Nebraska Avenue for these exact same reasons. At this point, I’m starting to wonder if these locations share the same ownership or management because the attitude and lack of customer service feel identical. I completely understand that employees deal with rude customers, staffing shortages, and being overworked and underpaid. Those are real challenges. But none of that is the customer’s fault. Customers shouldn’t be treated like an inconvenience simply because they’re trying to order breakfast on their way to work. This was my last visit to the McDonald’s at 8214 North Florida Avenue. I’d rather make breakfast at home than start my morning dealing with poor attitudes and terrible customer service. Fast food has become so expensive that a value meal can cost almost as much as eating at places like Chili’s or Applebee’s. The difference is that those restaurants usually make you feel like they actually appreciate your business. Customer service still matters. Unfortunately, it seems like that’s something this McDonald’s has forgotten.
