The food itself misses the mark. You expect a New York-style deli to elevate a sandwich beyond what you'd make at home, but the presentation and quality were just average, much like their basic milkshakes. With such a huge menu, there’s too much focus on quantity over quality. Joe's New York Diner hits the spot for late-night cravings after a night out or traveling along the interstate thanks to being open 24 hours.

Very poor service, charges for credit card. When I paid with cash could not make change. $4.00 for a coke. $24.00 for a Gyro and a waitress with a bad attitude. I went from eating lunch here everyday to now eating here once a month. This is my last visit.

This 24-hour diner in Tampa has that warm, home-cooked comfort food feel that keeps you coming back. The pancakes are always fluffy and taste like they came straight off the griddle at home, the bacon is fresh and crispy, the eggs are cooked just right, and there’s nothing better than having it all with a hot cup of fresh coffee. They also have cold milk, orange juice, plenty of desserts, and a huge menu filled with different comfort-food favorites.
The food always comes out looking and tasting great, and I’ve never had a bad experience here. There’s plenty of parking, and I really appreciate that they’re open 24 hours. It’s the kind of place where you can come in at any time of the day or night, sit down, enjoy a good filling meal, and leave satisfied. Good food, generous choices, and that comfortable diner atmosphere make this place an easy five stars for me.

Our experience started with a waitress who seemed to be inconvenienced by our presence on Sunday morning. She took our order without writing anything down and obviously got the order wrong. Then she wanted to argue with me saying that I ordered the wrong thing when in fact the people at the table knew I ordered something different. The floors in the diner were disgusting with food all over them. We attempted to use the salt when the meal had arrived and because of the condensation the salt didn't come out of not one, not two, not three, but for salt shakers no salt was coming out of. I did take the top off of one of the Shakers and cleaned it out with a napkin the napkin was disgustingly black from the inside of the salt shaker. What a gross experience, a gross restaurant, and an awful waitress! We won't be coming back we learned our lesson.
