⭐ 1 Star I would strongly suggest not visiting this place. The food quality was disappointing, the taste was below average, and the portion sizes were extremely small for the price charged. We spent almost $92 and left unsatisfied. Being charged $4.99 for a few slices of onion, chilli, and lime without prior notice was unacceptable. On top of that, a 15% service charge was automatically added. This restaurant feels more focused on making money than providing a good dining experience. High prices, small portions, poor taste, and extra charges do not justify the cost. Unfortunately, this was a complete disappointment, and I will not be returning.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely delicious food! Every dish was full of authentic flavor and prepared perfectly. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming, and the entire staff is friendly, attentive, and provides outstanding service. We truly loved every bite, and the desserts were just as amazing as the main course. Driving all the way from Orlando was absolutely worth the trip! Don’t let a few negative reviews discourage you. Everyone has different tastes and expectations, but based on our experience, the food was truly authentic, delicious, generously portioned, and reasonably priced for the quality and quantity served. If you appreciate genuine Indian cuisine, excellent hospitality, and great value, this place is definitely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it! 🌟🍛🍨

We recently visited Jalsa Restaurant in Tampa, and it was a wonderful experience. Being familiar with Jay Bhavani’s flavors, we were excited to try Jalsa, and it definitely lived up to expectations. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Every dish was well-prepared with the perfect balance of spices, making it feel like a true taste of home. The menu offers a great variety, and everything we tried was delicious. What stood out even more was the excellent service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. They were happy to answer questions and ensured we had a great dining experience. If you’re looking for delicious Indian food and outstanding hospitality in Tampa, Jalsa is definitely worth a visit. We look forward to coming back soon!

It was our 3rd visit at this restaurant within 2 months. We come from 3hours north., which says how much we love Jalsa!! We ordered Veg thali and veg biryani., both were beyond the expectations as always!! Owner himself came and talk to us which was very nice and gave us extra curry without asking and warm gulabjamun was awesome to end your lunch with. Veg Biryani was also very tasty and plenty! We enjoyed all food here!! Like it says in Gujarati : Jalsa padi gaya!!😀 Thank you for Great food, service and atmosphere!!

We visited Jalsa, which was previously Jai Bhawani. Overall, we had a nice experience, but honestly, we miss the old Jai Bhawani. I’m not sure why they decided to switch from a casual, busy restaurant to a fine-dining concept. Every time we visited Jai Bhawani, it was crowded and lively. It offered so many options beyond the regular menu, including chaat, sugarcane juice, lassi, and other snacks that made it unique and great value for customers. The new Jalsa setup is clean, modern, and comfortable, but many of those special options are gone. Personally, I think many people are looking for good value and variety rather than a more expensive fine-dining experience. We visited on a Sunday afternoon during lunch, and the new restaurant was surprisingly empty. The food was good overall. The naan was excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive. The palak paneer was decent, but it could have used more flavor and spices. It felt like it had been toned down for an American palate and didn’t taste like the authentic palak paneer you would typically find in India. A nice touch was the complimentary gulab jamun at the end of the meal, which we really appreciated. Overall, Jalsa offers good food and service, and we enjoyed our visit. However, we still miss the energy, variety, and value that Jai Bhawani used to offer. So two stars deducted for this reason.
