  This place is really great! The sushi was delicious and fresh. I thought the presentation was amazing and that the wasabi was some of the best I’ve had! My drawbacks were primarily that it’s an incredibly small space and the amount of Uber Eats drivers coming in to get orders was insane. I swear like 15 drivers came in during the 45minutes. Also their drink menu is nonexistent currently. They did say their alcohol license would be implemented soon but in the meantime it’s just water and soda.

  Overall it was a good experience, the staff was nice, order came without mistakes. However, The taste did not pass the vibe check. This is only for ramen and I’m giving it 3 stars. The noodles were perfect, but the secret to ramen is a good broth. And unfortunately this broth was just not it. Super basic. Barely any flavor. Like it was just poured from a container. No spices, not life to it. Perhaps the sushi here is good, as many say. But I would not recommend the ramen. I would definitely come back for other items though.

  My family has been coming here for years, we moved out of state to Alaska, but make sure we come here each time we visit family. The food is the best quality & the service is above & beyond, so personable & friendly, even with our group of 6 kids. We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to everyone! We will always come to ichiban when in Florida.

  I’ve been going to Ichiban for over 20 years, back when they were first located near USF, and I still love coming here now that they’re closer to where I live. The ambiance is great, the service is always wonderful, and they have some really delicious sushi. One of my favorite things is going for lunch because their bento boxes are such a great value with a nice variety of sushi and side items for a reasonable price. My only wish is that they had a larger space because it can get busy quickly, but it’s definitely a spot I’ll continue coming back to.

  We ordered edamame, chicken karaage, and four sushi rolls. The lunch special included a volcano roll and a tempura shrimp roll served on a black plate. The red dragon and spider rolls arrived on a white boat plate. The presentation was clean. The portion sizes were solid for a lunch order. The service was good. Our waitress was informative and explained the lunch specials clearly. She also shared her top menu picks to help us decide. She checked in on the table enough to make sure we had what we needed. The dining room is small and cozy. The space features Japanese-inspired decor, mural walls, booth seating, and low lighting. This gives it more character than a standard strip-center restaurant. Parking is easy. There is an ample parking lot located on the side and behind the building.
