  I've come here a lot in the past, but probably won't be going back with much frequency anymore. A while ago I was able to go with the wife and get up to 2 salsa and 2 baskets of complimentary chips before the meal, which were really necessary because the portions are small and service takes time to prepare food fresh to order. Now they're strictly limiting chips/salsa to 1 set per table. They should at least have a limit per # of people, not per table. Honestly the food itself is generally good, but the portions are really small for what I'd expect at this price. Furthermore, when I requested a mole sauce enchilada I asked about the sauce and they make it with peanut butter? Doesn't seem very authentic for a restaurant claiming authenticity, and the sauce definitely had a sickeningly sweet taste. They don't seem to pay close attention to their drink machines either, the wife ordered the tamarind drink (I think? or something very similar) and it was served rancid. They remade it but still, how would they not know unless they weren't maintaining their drink machines. The biggest turn off though is the servers, most of them are friendly but generally don't seem too interested in keeping close tabs on their tables. I frequently find myself trying to either flag down a waiter or walk up to the counter to pay and leave. I got so fed up once I just left cash + some extra for tip and left, I don't know how long I waited but was at least 20 minutes and my server was no where to be found. There are a lot of better options, like the Taco De Oro food trailer down Bearss which has super delicious food with decent size portions. Hope this Don Julio's improves as the location is really nice and convenient, but since the chips change I've been going to many of the other better places nearby.

  2nd time, worst service ever, Don't waste your time nor money, waited for over 10 minutes for water, and no they weren't busy the Hostess kept looking at us without even acknowledging that we were there waiting for too long. Just stay away if you want to have a good experience.

  La comida y los tragos muy buenos, pero fueron muy poco profesionales a la hora del cierre, la manager Angie M solo esperó que pagáramos nuestra cuenta para decirnos que ya llevaban media hora cerrados para que nos fuéramos ya, pero un party que se fue 5 minutos antes no los corrieron, nos pusieron la música súper alta, creo que no había necesidad de corrernos, ya sabíamos que estaban cerrados y si nos quedamos platicando fue porque nuestro mesero es nuestro amigo y su servicio fue muy bueno.!

  Will not ever come back felt like I had to wait for the place to close to get the check on 2 drinks im Wright thos still waiting noone is coming behind the bar even other people were getting upset there are 3 tables an 3 of us at the bar.

  Worst experience ever for Cinco De Mayo. Made a reservation through their online portal. Showed up and they did not honor because they didn't know how to turn it off. Over an hour to sit down and they gave us a table for two when we were a party of five. Had to wait even longer. After the waitress showed after 10 minutes of sitting there, we put in food order immediately. As of writing this, it's been over 40 minutes - no food and our waitress has not checked in with us even once. Will not be back no matter how good the food is (if we even get it at this point).
