We had an amazing meal at Catrinas today! The food was absolutely delicious, the customer service was exceptional, and the restaurant is beautiful—perfect for taking great photos. On top of that, we had a mechanical issue with our car, and the owner of the restaurant was incredibly kind and supportive. Her generosity and willingness to help truly made a difference. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend Catrinas to anyone looking for great food and outstanding hospitality! 💯

The owner is the sweetest most kind hearted person I ever met. She's a sweet heart and runs this place all by herself she makes the best watermelon margarita and michelada. The chicken tacos were so good way better than chain, it's a great mom and pop place that has value prices. I will definitely comeback again!

I gave a 2 because they have lots if street parking. Met a friend for lunch. No A/C on and it has to be 100 degrees inside, not sure if they dont have it or John working. Was miserably hot eating. My friend tried to order 3 different things to be told they didn't have it. She got three tacos and I got trio platter that had maybe 2 tablespoons of bland beans, and 2 tablespoons of bland rice. The food was very bland. Order two watermelon margaritas that came in a plastic bag and mostly just tasted like juice. Due to it being so hat they were hot within a few minutes. My stomach started hurting when I left, by the time I got home I was vomiting. She had the same experience as well! Will never eat there again or recommend to ANYONE!!! Not to mention so over priced. Our on drink bland meal cost us $82. Nope never agai .

What an incredible experience! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the passion and attention to detail that make this woman-owned taco and tequila bar so special. Housed inside a beautifully restored 1905 bank building in Tampa, the atmosphere is truly one of a kind. The food was absolutely delicious, and you can tell quality is a priority. I loved that the margaritas are made with fresh, natural juices—such a refreshing difference! One of the highlights of the afternoon was getting to interact with both the owner and the chef, who genuinely care about creating an unforgettable experience for every guest. The space itself has a story featuring gorgeous hand-painted murals throughout and an amazing VIP area located inside the original bank vault, complete with a breathtaking custom mural. The combination of history, art, exceptional service, and amazing food makes this a must-visit spot in Tampa. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Unfortunately, our dining experience did not meet expectations due to concerns regarding service, cleanliness, and food quality. Upon being seated, our table had not been properly cleaned. When this was brought to the owner’s attention, the response seemed defensive rather than accommodating. Although the table was eventually wiped down, it would have been preferable for it to have been properly prepared before guests were seated. The food quality was also disappointing. The beef steak tacos, which were highly recommended by the owner, contained a large piece of untrimmed fat that negatively affected the dish. The shrimp fajitas were noticeably overcooked, resulting in a tough texture. Additionally, the tortillas were served on a metal plate that appeared stained with rust and did not seem adequately cleaned, raising concerns about cleanliness and presentation. Service presented additional challenges. Communication with the staff was difficult due to limited English proficiency. Even when speaking Spanish and making straightforward requests for items such as sauces and sour cream, it was difficult to obtain assistance. After sampling our meals, we chose not to continue eating and left the food unfinished because of the quality concerns. We still paid for our drinks, including a Coke that was served in a can without a glass being provided, which further contributed to our dissatisfaction. Overall, the combination of cleanliness concerns, food quality issues, service shortcomings, and communication difficulties resulted in an unsatisfactory dining experience.
