Extremely disappointing and hostile experience at this Bonefish Grill. I forgot my ID, so I completely understood that I could not be served alcohol. However, the bar manager, Michael Herase, initially told us that because I didn’t have my ID, no one at our table could be served, which was presented to us as an alcohol-law requirement. That is LIE!!!! ; being unable to verify my age does not automatically mean a legally identified 21+ guest cannot be served. He then told us that if they did serve my girlfriend and he caught me taking even a sip of her drink, he would kick us out. I had absolutely no intention of drinking her drink, making the warning feel completely unnecessary and intimidating. I work in Food & Beverage management myself and understand responsible alcohol service, but this interaction went far beyond enforcing a policy. We were the only two people in the restaurant, and the entire experience felt hostile, intimidating, and as though we were being singled out and monitored. Most concerning, the interaction felt racially motivated. I cannot speak to his intentions, but that is how the treatment made us feel. As not only were we the only ones IN the building ( seriously it was just US TWO in the ENTIRE restaurant) Management should seriously review this interaction and how alcohol policies are being communicated to guests. I would avoid this location, especially when Michael Herase is managing the bar.

Bonefish is always a go to go place Is like going to your mom’s house, food is consistent with good flavors and satisfying. Service is also very good, tonight we had a great server, Ethan , very young guy with great customer service skills Kudos for him and the chef who prepared my rainbow trout!

We eat at Bonefish often in different locations. This was our first time at this particular location. At first glance walking in, the restaurant looked dirty, the glass doors, the floors etc. This was not a busy night. We ordered an appetizer, soup and salad which should have come before the meal. We got our appetizer before but never got the soup or salad. Then here comes the entrees. A filet that was supposed to be Med Rare came out well done. We politely sent it back which we rarely do. Waited awhile for the new one to come out... never asked us to check to make sure it was good. It was Rare! My husband went ahead and ate it. We had the bar manager come and apologize and offer a free dessert. Fine thank you. Then the front of the house manager came over and apologized... and said he would give us 20% off the meal. Ok. Thank you... time to order dessert. We waited 20 min at least for chocolate chip cookies and a brownie. We asked for the bill and didn't want the dessert anymore. Meanwhile this whole time the front of house manager is talking to an employee rolling silverware doing absolutely nothing else to make sure he was helping how he could. Trying to pay the bill... here comes the bar manager again apologizing saying he lost his whole back of house staff due to a meeting that another manager wanted to have with them!! What?? It's dinner hour on a Saturday night?? We are baffled. The bar manager is so embarrassed and apologizes profusely. We don't blame him or the waiter... we blame the Front of house manager who sat and talked to an employee rolling silverware for at least 30 min. Never saw him again!!! We never leave reviews but this was so bad!!!

As a frequent customer of Bonefish, this was an absolute disgrace. My wife and I walked out after what we saw, and we will not be returning to this location (not a chance I would eat at this location). The bar was cluttered, with items left out that should have been refrigerated, creating a serious food safety concern. Trash was visible throughout the restaurant, the smell inside was awful, and the bathrooms were disgusting. After working in the restaurant industry for years, I can say this reflected a clear lack of care from the staff, and management should absolutely be held responsible for the condition of this place on Sunday, August 1st. The right thing to do next is to contact the Leon County health inspector.

We tried 2 of the new summer specials tonight and WOW were they good! I had the Citrus Scallion Grouper with rice and fresh greens and my husband had the Coho Salmon with orange teriyaki glaze with rice and cooked greens. We have been Bonefish fans for many years but tonight’s dinner was exceptional!
