This is the second time I’ve visited this location in the past week, and unfortunately, my experience inside has been enough to make me not want to return.
I visit McDonald’s every Sunday and Wednesday, and I typically use the drive-through, where the employees have always been amazing. I have absolutely no complaints about the drive-through staff. However, when I have cash and go inside to place my order, my experience with the petite girl with glasses working the front counter and bagging orders has been completely different.
This is the second time I’ve encountered her attitude, and today it went beyond being rude. While handing me my drink, she actually stuck her fingers inside my cup, made direct eye contact with me, and frowned as she handed it over. Whether she thought that was funny or was trying to make some kind of point, it was completely inappropriate and unacceptable.
I’m not sure what her issue is, but customers shouldn’t have to deal with an employee who appears to go out of her way to make an interaction uncomfortable. Putting your fingers inside a customer’s drink cup is unacceptable, period.
It’s disappointing because the drive-through employees have consistently provided great service, and I have no issues with them whatsoever. But after two negative experiences with the same employee, I will think twice before returning to this location, especially if I need to go inside.
Management needs to address this behavior. Customers deserve basic courtesy and, just as importantly, proper food and beverage handling.
