  We absolutely love Mangia’s!!!! We fell in love with this waterside Italian restaurant after the first meal! Tastes like grandma’s cooking! Afternoon music and the ocean breeze takes us to a lil piece of heaven! The pasta is out of this world! And love the 3 course special!

  Tried Mangia when they first opened 4 yrs ago and was not very impressed. Thought I would try it again when the restaurant I really wanted to go was closed. I ordered the Sausage and pepper hero. Not good. It was so soggy that when I picked it up everything fell out. There is nothing worse than a soggy sub roll! What happened to the day when you ordered a sausage sub and actually got the whole sausage? This sub was mostly cheese and peppers with 4 or 5 very thin slices of sausage on each half. 2 strikes for Mangia. Will not allow a third!

  This place is a disgrace .went there for dinner with wife and another couple only to be basically ignored ,this is while there was no one else in the place to eat .attitude from so called hostess and forget about the waiter ,he wanted absolutely nothing g to do with our party.After ordering g a beer and a wine we waited for like 10 minutes only to decide to leave .I went to the bar to confront them and the barmaid turned around and walked away.I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone.If you want good Italian food and atmosphere try down the road at Giuseppe’s Italian Grille.

  As a chef, I'm extremely picky about where I go eat, for many different reasons.But for all the right reasons , I choose Mangia Clam Bar. They have an awesome happy hour menu, a multi-course dinner for $22.95 with plenty of great choices. I've been a customer since it's opening and have always been an observer, and what I've seen is a guy named Dave, who will be glad to seat you with a smile, You may see him sweeping the floor you may see him running food out. You may see him cleaning a table. There's absolutely nothing below him. And his interaction with the staff is absolutely stellar. He never raises his voice or demeans anybody in the restaurant, it's such a pleasure to get his smile and hie knows to seat me in JO'S section !! You won't find a sweeter, more compassionate professional in the industry !! Always watch her make sure each table is treated equally.And with the same priority and she does it with a smile, and she doesn't bring her problems to work with her, she brings the solution and that's a great big smile.Thanks , Jo for another great dinner tonight !!!

  Mangia Clam Bar in the Manatee Pocket is a fantastic waterfront spot with a true Old Florida vibe. Between the views, live music, and relaxed atmosphere, it’s the kind of place you can sit back and really enjoy the experience. The food was excellent. We had the stuffed mushrooms, spinach pizza, and conch fritters, and all three were absolutely awesome—fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The menu has a great variety, and the portions were generous. Service really stood out as well. Our server, Jo, was awesome—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect without being overbearing. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. If you’re in the Manatee Pocket, this spot is definitely worth checking out.
