  5/5 Stars - An Absolute Hidden Gem in St. Pete Beach! We had a truly wonderful evening at Carino's Northern Italian Cuisine. The food was outstanding—authentic and delicious. And I had an Espresso Martini to die for! Beyond the incredible meal, the service was outstanding and our host very welcoming, friendly and informative. And I loved the authentic atmosphere and great music. Whether you are a local or just visiting, this cozy spot is an absolute must-visit. We will definitely be back! It made a special date into a really romantic evening 💜

  Most amazing Italian restaurant I've ever seen and had the pleasure of going to. Walking in it felt like I should of had a flapper dress on in the arm of a gangster. It was like stepping back in time. Had the best conversation with the owner, the bartender and other employees. It was so great never realized 20 minutes had gone by. Was visiting from WI and went there to get a to go order for my hubby that was unable to walk that far. He informed me his Nonna's Sunday Lasagna was probably the best he has ever had. So wish I could of brought him with me to check out the atmosphere and converse with some of the most adorable and amazing staff and owner. By the time I left there were hugs all around. Recommend this beautiful, unique and classy restaurant to everyone!!!! Am already planning our next trip down and this will definitely be number one on my list to visit. Will definitely make sure we go in eat and stay a long time. ❤️❤️

  The dining room was under renovation so we were seated in the bar area. It was so dark I could not see the menu or my friend sitting across the table from me! The food was awful. I had the lasagna. It was terribly over salted. . My friends and I had been to Carino’s many times over the years before it was under new ownership. Unfortunately Itis nothing like it used to be. I Do not recommend this place.

  The place is so dark you can't see who you're eating with or what you're eating. This was an early dinner at 4 pm. They wouldn't torn the lights on. I could see you want that mood for later on in the evening since it's a piano bar / cafe. Very limited to practically no wine selection unless you want to buy an expensive bottle. The sauce was so salty on my lasagna. We ate there for many years under the old ownership, but this new one has got to make some big improvements.

  I booked a reservation for 4. I ask if there was someone playing piano on Fri night and the person said yes. I thought it would be cool to have someone playing live piano. Instead, they had a tablet hooked up playing piano (not the same!). If I would have known there was not someone playing piano...I would not of came! I just wanted a nice atmosphere. Im in no rush but the service was exceptionally slow and dishes came out at all random times. The food was good but my snapper felt like a giant squishy chunk of meat. I'd recommend slicing the snapper filet so it cooks better. The bathroom could use a good scrub down. Not a bad place but I dont think I'd go back with all the competition around.
