  The food is amazing. We chose takeout but waited in the main dining room. Very cool, classic Italian restaurant decor like a beautiful scene from a Sinatra film. The dishes were prepared with care and arrived hot and fresh. The food was creative and used fresh local ingredients where appropriate. We especially liked the Gulf Grouper Involtini, the Agrodolce Braised Pork, and the Pork Ragù Fettuccine. Our daughter loved the Sunday Feast Rigatoni. For antipasti, we had Peppercrusted Ahi Tuna and Beet Figs and Burrata Salad. They included their famous bread with the order which really made it perfect. Well worth the price.

  We chose Carino’s for my dad’s birthday because we’ve had good experiences here in the past, which made this visit even more disappointing. From the start, the service was disorganized. Our appetizers came out one at a time instead of together, and our server didn’t seem familiar with the menu or even basic serving etiquette. The food itself was also extremely salty, making several dishes difficult to enjoy. The biggest disappointment was dessert. One dessert was brought out more than 10 minutes before the others, so one person either had to eat alone or let it melt while everyone else waited. We also had to ask for silverware again because none was provided. What was supposed to be the highlight of the evening was unfortunately mishandled. We specifically asked the server to put a candle on my dad’s dessert and coordinate with the piano player so we could sing “Happy Birthday.” Instead, the dessert was brought out silently while the pianist continued playing. There was no acknowledgment that it was a birthday, and it completely took away from what should have been a special moment. What made this even more frustrating was that the restaurant was nearly empty. We were one of only two tables, with several staff members sitting around and at the bar, so it wasn’t a case of the restaurant being overwhelmed. This was a very expensive dinner, and the overall experience simply didn’t justify the cost. We’ve enjoyed Carino’s in the past, which is why this visit was so disappointing. We hope management addresses the lack of service standards and training because this experience fell far below what we’ve come to expect.

  Everyone was very pleased with their meal. The staff was friendly and tentative. Every dish was just amazing, from appetizers to the desserts. Will definetly be back.

  My husband and I were honeymooning in St. Pete last week, and we stopped by for dinner on Thursday. Jarred made everything so special for us from the moment we first sat down. He was so intentional with us, and very kind and helpful. The food was very delicious! I got the risotto and basically licked the plate clean. We came back the following night to see Jack playing the piano. We got coffee and the Orange ricotta cake. So delicious and such a romantic evening. Thank you so much to Jack and especially Jarred for making our honeymoon extra special! ❤️

  My husband and I had a wonderful experience. We had always wanted to experience a piano bar and it was lovely. Jack played and sand beautifully. We sat at the bar for a drink and dessert, and our waitress Jessica was so sweet and helpful. The decor and vibe was refined yet fun!! 100% recommend!!!
