I dont like doing this but they have made it incredibly redicouls to make a complaint, but when I spend $30 for a cheese pizza, and a pep pizza, and used discounts and papa doe, so at full price would have been like $50, but I used as many discounts as I can because I was trying to be cheap. I order from this papa John's on a weekly basis, if not every 2 weeks when trying not to eat to much junk food. Unfortunately the kids love pizza so I ordered and it cost extra for every thing now days. I order flavor on the crust u charge me for it then dont put on my pizza, I ask for extra sauce and u put no sauce, and its like over 35 minutes away, and I do carry out because I am not tipping some jerk who brings me cold pizza a $20 because it costs at min a extra $20 to $30 to have it delivered now days. The last time we had delivery they got rude with us its not my job to support some grown adult who has no skills so the delivery pizza its not my job to make sure someone has a living wage, why is it people want to be tipped more then what i ordered for our diner. 15% on what would be on $30 pizza order is $4.25 that then gets a delivery fee of $10 which i dont tip on fees which seems redicouls if we pay a delivery fee we shouldnt have to tip not to mention the food costs for making a pizza at this point is under $3 back in the 90s it was .25 for a pep pizza food costs but now days Im sure its up to $3 per pizza so why can't u pay ur delivery drivers the delivery fee and not make us have to over pay for pizza.(the guy expected $20 for his trip to our house not the $5 we tipped on one pizza at the time). But for this time u charged me for all these extras and then dont make my pizza right, and my son has arfid he is autistic so my life already sucks but then I spend $30 on pizza that I had to drive to go get while im exhausted, and then he wont eat it because u didn't make what i ordered and paid for right so he has a melt down ruins my entire night, and if im ordering pizza its because I already had a ruff day and I ordered at 9:30 at night so he already got his dinner super late but that's how these days run now, It really sucks when this was the one place I could rely on to make the food right and its been on a down hill trend for the last 6months but this is just down right unacceptable. how on a order that asked for extra sauce do u put nothing on it, and we normally get stuffed crust but we didn't tonight and then no flavor might as well just gave us cardboard it was flat not the fluffy normal crust, I couldn't even salvage it he ended up flipping it upside down which he never does it was that bad, and then I cant even make a complaint online and the phone just rings and rings. really I just cant understand why pricing is going up used to be under $11 a pizza with stuffed crust now its $18 discounted, and it sucks the crust is flat garbage. now I have to spend forever trying to find a new pizza place and it took forever to find this one. he only likes papa John's and the other one has been bad since the 90s. It feels like if they put robots in there and got rid of the people who can't do the job right we might have better luck. As a teenager I worked at pizza hut, then sabarros in Tyrone square mall I ended as a manager its really simple to make a pizza its basiclly so simple it takes alot to screw up this badly on a normal basis I dont have time to make pizza from scratch these days not to mention the clean up the hours making dough have the right elasticity and properly stretched which clearly these weren't at all but for a fully setup place should take a simple 5mins I have noticed it used to be a very busy location and now not so much and I guarantee its people who get sick of being ripped off and then just stop going honestly I want my $30 back if I wasn't over expended I would get a job there to put the right crew in place just so I could get the right food. But my husband has stage 4 cancer and I am the sole carer for my new grandson and taking care of my autistic son and his autistic gf is more then i can handle

Ordered a pepperoni pizza and breadsticks and paid for an extra garlic sauce. The order label even says “+1 Garlic Sauce,” but I only received the one that already comes with the pizza. I called the store and was only refunded about $0.70 for the missing sauce. I specifically wanted the extra sauce for my pizza, and the mistake ruined my meal. A simple quality check would have prevented this.

To be clear, this location is awesome. There’s just no clear way to pass this to corporate. The recent change to “buffalo” sauces is just gross. I won’t order anything with it again while it has this red40 recipe. I’ll edit the review after a proper corporate response. Fpr now, what happened to “better ingredients better pizza”

I get it: it’s big box pizza and it’s not gourmet food, but the standard at this shop have fallen off in the last year. I had a long week and wanted an easy dinner option so we went to the Papa J’s for a stuffed garlic crust pizza. Except we didn’t get the garlic flavoring we paid an extra $1 for and I’m not sure how, but the pizza also had 8 unequal slices. And per usual: our well done pizza wasn’t well done.
Goto Pizza Hut across the street, these guys ain’t it.

First Papa John’s of my life, and Ari & Dontie made sure it counted. Walked in not knowing what I was doing, and they took the time to walk me through it, patient, funny, genuine “let’s get you sorted” energy, no attitude, just good people doing their job well. That’s a specific kind of skill, making a stranger feel like a regular in under five minutes.
Pizza was solid. Ari & Dontie made it memorable. St. Pete’s lucky to have this crew running the counter.
