  Purple Olive just catered our daughter’s wedding at the River House. They were amazing to work with and everyone raved about the food! I would recommend them without reservation! Kristen made everything so easy and stress free. 10 out of 10!

  The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, the staff is super friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious! I had theThe menu is sooo appealing i had a very had time deciding what to order! The cabernet-braised short rib was superb, mashed potatoes and broccoli (cooked to perfection) were fantastic! My wife's caesar salad with grilled chicken was awesome, and I loved the crispy crumbled croutons! My brother and sister-in-law said their meals (14oz gorgonzola crusted pork chop and the shrimp & artichoke pasta) were absolutely mouth-watering! And I had the vegetable soup of the day ( a mushroom vegetable) that was also to die for! And the presentation of each was beautiful; after dining here it's obvious the chefs love what they do! And our server/bartender, Meg, (we dined at the bar) was great!!! This restaurant definitely has the "WOW!" factor, we cannot wait to go back!!!

  Small cute restaurant a short drive from the historic district. Parking is cramped, so be prepared to find a spot. The staff, from hostess to server were friendly and attentive, but not over. Over all meal was good. We both started with the Cranberry Gorgonzola salad. Large size and tasty! Could have used a little crunch such as a nut in it, but still very good. I had the Gorgonzola Crusted Pork Chop and it was very good, pork tender and not dry, grilled then topped with the gorgonzola and marsala onion confit. My friend had the filet and said it was good, tender and cooked as requested. Cocktails were good as well as the dessert. Prices are not bad. I would recommend here, but parking can be a little bit of a pain.
