  I had an extremely disappointing experience with Cajun Crab in Shalimar, Florida. As a local resident, I will not return or recommend this restaurant. I spent nearly $100 on a dozen lightly steamed garlic-butter oysters, a country boil, and a fried grouper basket. Unfortunately, the quality of the entire order was well below expectations. The oysters were dry and overcooked, with no noticeable garlic butter or seasoning. The shrimp in the country boil were overcooked and rubbery, the potatoes were hard, undercooked, and tasted old, and the crab-leg portions were exceptionally small. The food was overpriced for both the quality and portion sizes received. I contacted the restaurant immediately and spoke with Sophia, who said the manager was unavailable but that she would contact her for guidance. After receiving no return call, I called again approximately 30 minutes later, but the manager was still unavailable. When I eventually reached the manager, Jen (Huiling Weng), she initially communicated with me through an employee named Michelle. I was offered a $20 gift card and told that nothing more would be provided. I explained that this was unacceptable because I did not intend to order from the restaurant again. I requested a refund and even offered to accept a partial refund. When Jen finally came to the phone, she stated that the restaurant’s policy did not allow refunds. When I questioned that response, she began yelling, insisted that there was nothing wrong with the food, refused to listen to my concerns, and ultimately hung up on me. When I called back, she refused to speak with me. Michelle stated that she did not understand why the manager was yelling, that customers inside the restaurant could hear the exchange, and that she believed the order should have been refunded. The poor food quality was disappointing, but the manager’s unprofessional and disrespectful behavior made the experience even worse. Based on both the food and the customer service, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

  I don’t usually leave reviews, but my husband, our kids, and I come to Cajun Crab often. The past two times we’ve visited, our server, Jayla, has been amazing. She’s always kind, attentive, keeps our drinks filled, and makes us feel welcome & always has a small talk with us an ask us how we are doing she was our server the past two times we’ve went recently! Even on one day it was super busy and she seemed to be the only server and she was still very attentive and busting her butt working with all the tables of restaurant was full she does amazing but During our most recent visit, we were seated near the kitchen and overheard someone in the kitchen loudly yelling at her. It was uncomfortable to witness, and I truly felt bad for her. No employee should be spoken to that every customer in the restaurant probably overhead it too very unpleasant for our experience today Despite that, Jayla remained professional, polite, and continued providing excellent service with a smile. We made sure to leave her a generous tip because she looked like she was holding back tears, yet she never let it affect how she treated us . I could honestly say poor management, but great employees. I hope management recognizes what a hardworking and respectful employee she is and also ensures that staff are treated with the same respect they are expected to show customers. We’ll definitely continue coming back because of the great service she provides. We don’t usually wait so long for our food but today we waited over an hour but she was very apologetic about it because our food took so long she also provided us some yummy hush puppies

  I got the captain's platter. The crab cake and the crab balls had a bad fishy taste and smell. Not fresh. The fish and the shrimp was good. But the chicken was okay. And overall the food was greasy. My order was take out for 5 people. My daughter and granddaughter enjoyed the low country boil.

  michelle was so sweet and funny (plus she listened to me complain about the other seafood place we tried) food was amazing best pricing i’ve seen in a long time very good flavor and quality of food me and my partner will 100% be coming here way more often definitely recommend for everyone

  Welcome addition to the neighborhood and worth a drive if coming from other towns or visiting the area. Food is great at a reasonable price. The staple potato salad and hush puppies can tell you a lot about whether the food will stand the test of time and the potato salad here is outstanding bar none, the hush puppies delectable taste bombs with a lovely side sauce. Service can lag a little, but they will get it right with time and the food is worth the wait! Solid core menu choices and good specials. Local place, local vibe, will come back again and again.
