First the food - AMAZING. Delicious and original. Secondly, the service. We had Batty as our server (seriously - that was his name and it’s an interesting story). He absolutely ELEVATED our experience He listened to what we wanted , liked and didn’t like and tailored his suggestions. This place is a hidden gem and I’ll be back!

Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Everything we ate was awesome. And all gluten free. Our server was Natalie and she was amazing. Started with a strawberry lemon drop martini (hubby had smoked tequila) with the guacamole appetizer served with freshly made tortillas. So good! Then I had the scallops meal; hubby had the Cowboy steak with black beans. Then we had the churro donut holes with chocolate sauce. Awesome!!! The food was cooked just right and full of flavor. We will definitely be back in a few months when we are back in town.

We tried Comida for the first time the other night and we were so glad we did, we absolutely loved the place. The food was amazing and our waiter mentioned that everything on the menu is gluten-free, made from scratch and organic. Most impressively they do not use any seed oils, opting for olive oil and avocado oil instead. I’m always on the lookout for farm to table restaurants and haven’t found any quite like this yet. I would love to see more restaurants follow in their footsteps. If you have a chance to go, you will not be disappointed.

We visited Comida after finding their menu on the window intriguing. I looked up on Google whether or not they had a happy hour and it indicated they did. Upon arriving we found out that in order to participate in the happy hour you needed to pay for a month membership, starting at $50. After having 2 cocktails that seemed watered down and hearing someone order a Tito’s martini we found out that they have wine-based spirits, meaning not as much alcohol. The “cocktails” are priced the same as a traditional ones. It was very disappointing that there is NO way to know this is how they create their beverages, not on their menu and not on their website. If you are looking for weak drinks this is a good option. I will say that the appetizers we ordered were flavorful and the portions were fair for the price. If you enjoy wine and want to try their food I think you’ll be satisfied.

Can it be true? A 100% industrial seed oil-free fine dining restaurant that's also 100% gluten-free...even with "fried" chicken on the menu? It is true. And it is DELICIOUS. Comida, you have my heart. I have been in the restaurant industry for almost 20 years, and in addition an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach it is difficult to find restaurants that meet my standards, especially in the fine dining space. Comida meets my standards! I'm not strictly gluten-free, but being able to order anything on the menu without my health coach brain going into overdrive is such a gift. No wondering what oil they're cooking with. No questioning what type of flour they're using. No asking if there's gluten hidden in a sauce. No mental gymnastics. I can simply relax, enjoy the experience, and trust what's being served. This is rare, and it is so appreciated. And the food? Wow. Fresh and simple - period. The Picana steak is without question, one of the best steaks I've had in my lifetime. The flavor is absolutely incredible. The chimmichuri is perfection. The scallops are fantastic, and don't even get me started on the smoked sun dried tomato and guajillo sauce...I bring whatever is left home and put it on my eggs the next morning. The coconut and masa pudding desert - wow - an out of the box thoughtful dish, with complex flavors and textures. It was perfect because I was so full and it wasn't heavy to put me in a food coma. A special shoutout to Robert, our server that last time we dined. He was fantastic! Patient, knowledgeable, happy to answer every question, and made us feel completely comfortable..when we especially took our time deciding since at this time they were out of the Picana which we came for - but, they definitely made up for it - thank you to the manager on duty at the time!! Cheers to you, we will be back! At the end of the day, we're all just normal people trying to enjoy a great meal with the people we love, and Robert helped make that experience even better. I would love to see more restaurants like Comida in the world, restaurants that prioritize wholesome, high-quality ingredients and put integrity at the forefront of everything they do. The cost may be a little higher, but when I know the quality and sourcing behind what I'm eating, I don't mind paying for it. That's value. Thank you Comida <3 Don't change! pictures in order - beef tenderloin, fish special corvina, shrimp ceviche, picana steak, shrimp tacos, salsa/queso trio, scallop entree, roasted potatoes, coconut masa pudding, fried donut holes. not pictures - corn elote that was delish.
