  Enjoyed our meal. Charming atmosphere in older house. Great music. Very nice service. Favorites in order: collards, pulled pork, jalapeno mac ‘n cheese, glazed carrots, fried catfish.

  The best fried chicken south of Savanah and east of Arkansas. Greens are pretty good but I appreciate the green beans being fresh and noticeably not over cooked.

  I grew up in Atlanta, and spent a lot of time in north Georgia eating some of the best fried chicken and southern food on the planet. I've been in Florida since 1990, and have tried southern food and, in particular fried chicken all over the state. The search for "fried chicken as good as I remember from my early years in Georgia" ended today. I found it. The absolute BEST fried chicken I've ever had in my 62 years happened today at this utterly amazing restaurant in Safety Harbor. Just off the beaten path in downtown Safety Harbor, the intimate experience my wife and I had with Jamie and Jess serving us so graciously, and chef Aaron doing his thing in the kitchen using time honored recipes from his grandmother and great grandmother (I hope I got that right) - it was a remarkable, exceptional experience from start to finish. Everything we ate was superb. The pork belly we started with, the St. Louis style ribs my wife couldn't put down ... and that chicken. That chicken was so good, so crispy, so tasty, and so moist - it was otherworldly. Cooked in cast iron skillets "low and slow" - this was true southern food cooked with love and southern charm. I had the jalapeno mac and cheese (uh-mazing) and the collard greens (as good as my grandmother made years ago) as my sides. When it was over, I was full, fat, and delirious. We will go back so that we can try the other southern delicacies on the menu. Quaint, intimate, and utterly charming location, amazingly personal service with massive smiles and clear love for their establishment, and truly exceptional southern cuisine. Truly a bright star.
