Great place and food. However, they should utilize the pick up counter. It would help the workers out when there is low staff. Waiting for orders already done but not at the pickup counter just seems kinda pointless.

I don’t know if it’s because it’s a new location but the food quality is not good. I opened a brand new chipotle before and there are things in this food prep process that would be massive red flags. For example- the Bay Leaves that are cooked with the rice were always removed before serving. 4 times now we have got food here and they were not. They are unpleasant looking and are very unpleasant. Also- the rice has not been fully cooked 3 out of the last 4 times. I will be giving it a couple more months before ordering again but I know this community has been very eager for this opening and the food quality has been very sub-par.

I moved here from Colorado last year. I went to Chipotle all the time so needless to say I was disappointed that there wasn't a location in Punta Gorda, so I would go to Qdoba. I was super excited to see this location open and went in for the first time today. I ordered a burrito with Chipotle chicken. What I got was 2 huge scoops of rice, a little bit of black beans which was fine because I asked for a smaller amount, then just a tiny bit of chicken. It was really just a rice burrito. How disappointing! I only had chicken in a couple of bites. This burrito was terrible! Also, I asked for some of the cilantro lime salsa. They only put a small amount on then they charged me a dollar for it. Your staff should tell people it's an extra charge and what makes it so special to charge $1?? Overall a very disappointing experience and I feel completely ripped off! People notice when they are getting ripped off and won't return. I'm sorry but looking at other's reviews this location won't last long if change isn't made.

Sorry about this. First time in. No one at the counter and we waited a couple minutes- two staff members came out from the back and walked away to put on aprons. The food service area did not look clean - overspills everywhere. The containers were almost down to the bottom which implies that the food was probably sitting out since lunch. We were there at 4:05pm. The floors were not cleaned and several tables were dirty. I wish I had photographed the place but only took one shot. The food: my wife got a burrito bowl she asked if it was spicy _ they said “no” but it was. My burrito was the worse I’ve ever had. Our choice of meats were not hot - beans not hot - lettuce not cold - salsa tasted like dish soap. Cheese not cold or even chilled. Neither of us finished our meals because we did not trust the food we were eating. That is sad. We know it’s a brand new place but they are going to have to step up their game if they hope to make it there. The most critical area of concern is the food prep area and how long the items have been sitting there. When we left they were cooking new meats. Should have been done way before we got there. Nothing seemed fresh or was served at a proper temperature. We just hope we don’t get sick later tonight. Bad experience - I wouldn’t recommend them until they have been opened longer and following safety precautions more religiously with food and General cleanliness. We should have been excited to be there and enjoy the food - instead the first impression was severely lacking. The worst $28 we have spent recently.
