Listennnnn! If you are really hungry to the point of starving, this is NOT the place for you lol I decided to finally try this place after seeing several reels on instagram that constantly praised this place for having delicious food. I went on a random weekday at a time where usually businesses are more chill. I placed an order for 2 Turkey Tassot dinners, 1 Griot dinner, a Watermlon soda, and a Couronne, and altogether it was $100. There’s no doubt this place is high priced when it comes to Haitian food. I can get the same exact order anywhere in Miami for way less BUT I told myself I’m just going to trust that the portion size and flavor will justify the cost. After placing my order I asked the lady how long more or less and she told me 25-30 minutes. That is definitely a long wait time but again I told myself I’m going to trust that the food will be good and will justify the wait time. The only issue I had up to this point is that they don’t give you an option between fried plantain or bannann dous, they only offer fried plantain. Looking back now I’m assuming their focus is mostly fritay style of dishes. So I waited 30 minutes and went back inside for my order and it wasn’t ready yet. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes before they called my name. The portion size is actually pretty hefty to the point where you could have leftovers for the next day. I tasted a plantain on the way home and it wasn’t hot, fresh, and crispy like I had hoped so I was hoping the rest of the food would make up for it. When I tell you this food is BURSTING with flavorrrrrrr!!!! Now I looooooove me some Haitian food and I’ve tried lots of different spots but this place has some of the BEST food I’ve ever tasted in a long time. One thing that was a pleasant surprise was the spicy pickled onions that came on the side of the turkey. I have never seen that served at any other restaurant or with any home cooked Haitian food but it was perfectly delicious and tangy and went well with the entire dish. The dinner also came with some gravy sauce which I truly appreciate because sometimes you have to ask if they can give you some gravy on the side and it also came with Pikliz of course. The Pikliz were probably top 3 for me honestly. Definitely on the spicy side but so good nonetheless. Everything was honestly a 10/10 including the rice. I took one star away only because my bannann wasn’t hot & fresh after the long wait. I will definitely come back though!

Ordered the rice on their site 30 minutes prior to getting there. Had to take a 20 minute drive to get to the restaurant on I-95 in traffic. Finally got there, super excited to get our rice, when we walk in we tell Watson we ordered rice and we received a message saying it was ready for pickup… as he is actively giving away the exact same rice we ordered to people, he tells us they ran out of rice. We ordered 30 minutes ahead of time and he gave away what we paid for as we walked through the door. We then asked if we could receive a store credit, he says he wouldn’t the able to do that.. we then asked if we could get a refund… he says he can’t do that either, we finally say can we come back tomorrow AGAIN to get the rice that we came out of our way for. We spent time and gas to get what we paid for just to be told we have to be back again tomorrow with no type of accommodation or even a small discount. This was a really bad experience… mind you a side of rice that costs $12…

After seeing positive reviews for this restaurant, I told my husband let's try it for dinner as I was so excited since I missed some of my favorite spots in little Haiti. Got there at 5:45 pm today, and there was only one in house diner and the other couple placed a to go order. I sat at a table and was not acknowledged at all. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Then 615 pm came and no interaction. At 6:25 pm, I decided I was patient enough and it's time to go! So this rating is based on customer service alone. I never put in an order and the food that was brought out for the inside diner looked amazing! With that being said my time is valuable and unfortunately, I will not take that half hour drive again! The owner responded to my response that literally confirmed my time frame at this place. Go ahead and rewind a little further and you see me standing at the counter next to the couple sitting by the order. They were waiting on a to go order. You see me standing at the window where I see your prep table had chopped onions, bell peppers etc. The young lady saw me and walked past me as I asked for a menu. So after seeing the in-house diner, I just thought I had to take a seat. Your assumption as to I could have just been in your business that long waiting on someone is absolutely absurd. I wasn't acknowledged at all. You even see the lady pass by delivering food to the table. So, please take this as a review indicating when you know better, you do better. I based this on customer service from my perceptive and it was not good. So now you're saying it's a take out when you have tables for dining in and there's a party of three dining inside. Make it make sense. I don't need an apology because it's not necessary. So greet and acknowledge people who are patronizing your establishment. I wish you great success, but wish I could rate your response to me because it's clearly a 0. Wise up to rise up. This is not a debate. You confirmed and justified my presence there. I'm good.

Every time my husband and I are in the Miami area, we have to make a stop at Sak Pase Kitchen in Plantation for some authentic Haitian food! The food is absolutely out of this world—the flavors are incredible, and you can truly taste the love and care that goes into every dish. The quality and portions are both excellent, and everything we’ve tried has been delicious. The women in the kitchen put so much love into their cooking, and it really shows. The owner is also incredibly nice and welcoming. The restaurant is on the smaller side, and the biggest downside is that it can take a while for your food to come out. However, in my opinion, the food is worth the wait. If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Haitian food, Sak Pase Kitchen is definitely a place you should try!
