- CMChrissy MillyAug 22, 20262.0This was honestly one of the most disgusting experiences I’ve had walking into a restaurant. We arrived 27 minutes before closing, so the restaurant was still open, yet it looked like they had already decided they were done serving customers. The food had been removed from the normal heated serving line and placed on a table behind the employees, while staff were actively spraying cleaning/sanitizing solutions and using soapy water to clean the food line, refrigerator, stove, and surrounding areas right next to the exposed food. Watching cleaning chemicals and dirty cleaning water being used around food that was apparently still supposed to be served was absolutely disgusting and immediately made us question the sanitation of everything. It was so disorganized that the employee who attempted to serve us took our empty bowls and was walking around the kitchen searching for the rice because the food had already been removed from the line. Meanwhile, the person who appeared to be the manager or shift lead continued directing employees to take out trash and complete closing duties while customers were still walking in. Another customer entered around the same time as us, and the staff looked visibly irritated that people were coming in during their posted business hours. We didn’t even eat. After seeing food sitting around while cleaning chemicals and soapy water were being used nearby, we completely lost our appetite. The entire situation looked unsanitary, careless, and disgusting. Closing procedures should NEVER make customers question whether cleaning solution, dirty water, or other contaminants could come into contact with the food they are about to be served. If you’re open for another 27 minutes, either serve customers safely and properly or close the restaurant. What we witnessed made us uncomfortable enough to walk out without ordering.
