Terrible service. Food said it would be ready at 9:45 on the CAVA app. I get there at 9:45. Foods not ready and there two mobile orders ahead of me. I wait 10 minutes and somehow the food is still not ready and the line for people ordering in store looks like it barely moved. All I see behind the counter is employees looking like they’re slacking off and being extremely incompetent. The food is decent but whoever is running the kitchen needs to get their staff on point because it should not take that long to make a bowl of food. If it’s not the staff then the app developers need to update how long it should take for a mobile order to be ready. It’s a Saturday night and I’ve seen them more active and I’ve gotten my food quicker. If there was plenty of business I’d understand but clearly this visit it’s employee incompetence. Not to add that 15 minutes after I was supposed to get my food I finally got it but also that the portions between my bowl and my girlfriends bowl are completely mismatched it’s like they barely put any food in there but she ordered more. Very disappointed

The food at Cava is excellent. Unfortunately, the management/ownership does not hire or train people to build a customer forward operation. This gives you a terrible experience during orders. If you must come here, to limit your negative experience and have a better chance to get your order accurate, I highly recommend that you use the mobile ordering via the Cava app, then at least the person making your food gets line by line instructions on what you ordered. Ordering at the counter, is a pretty terrible experience. The people I’ve encountered each time have no customer experience training or if they did, they don’t care.. They just stare at you waiting for you to tell them what you’d like with no facial reactions. No prompting, not even a hello. Just yesterday when I went, I ordered a premade bowl from the menu. The person making my order literally was putting the wrong food items in it, I respectfully mentioned that that’s not what ingredients are in the bowl and she made it like it was my problem. She didn’t even offer to change. She asked me what did I want her to do. I just gave up and told her to leave it the way it was and then fix the rest of it down the line. I literally leave the place each time in a worse mood then when I came in. This is pretty hard to do because I by default have a sunny outlook, I’m a pretty optimistic person giving everybody the benefit of the doubt . The only thing that holds it together for me is that the food is actually really good. Imagine if you had good people that you hired upfront how much more successful you could be! I have lots of examples of other places with a similar food model that has found good people in the area. I have given up on this place and I’m hoping another one will open close to me.

If you’re looking for “quick service” skip this Cava. I’ve never seen a quick service restaurant that regularly just stops the line for extended periods with something super minor. For example, the other day we came here and a girl was missing ONE falafel and they were holding up the whole line that was out the door. The staff seem to be very slow and “minimal effort” types. Honestly it’s painful to watch. Very SLOW would not recommend. Photo shows nobody even getting bowls or food moved across the line (this was over 10 min)

Long wait times, rude service, terrible attitude. None of the employees are happy to be there. When you ask for extra, even though you are paying, they act like it’s coming from their paychecks. They didnt have feta at the ready and refused to go get more. Instead of going to get more tortilla strips, they gave me a bag of crumbs and brushed me aside. The other locations are better. This one needs a whole new staff. Update: I tried to eat the food for dinner but it matched the employees attitudes, down right nasty, threw the entire bowl away. What a waste of money.

Cavas bowls and portions are delicious. Of that there is no doubt. However, they will not see any more of my business for the simple fact that they just cannot seem to get their line service together. The people hopping from spot to spot, the cashier who is also having to check on supply of menu items , and deal with the online orders, the painfully slow servers putting the orders together all contribute to a hot mess of an experience. I have only been here once where the line wasn’t 20 people deep - a great problem to have if you are able to move and check out your clients in an efficient manner. Cava has *not* figured this out. Their lack of training shows up in very very slow servers both in the customer facing line and in the back taking fulfilling online orders. By the time you get to the cashier, they often have stepped away to refill some item(s) that are running out on the line or check on why some disgruntled customer’s order is delayed. Today, I ordered a single bowl at 7pm. The site told me to pick up at 7:30. I was willing to wait. I pulled up at Chipotle in the same plaza and they had a line of about 15 people. So I placed my chipotle order at 7:24 and then made my way over to Cava to pick up my 7:30 order. Having had to wait each time in the past, I waited until 7:40 to go inside. It was a mad house . There were about 25 people in line to order and at least 12 people waiting for online order pickup. All of the online order folks were showing various signs of frustration. One girl told me that she was still waiting on her order made at 6:40 and that should have been ready at 7:00. It was 7:40. When I asked the cashier who could barely contain her obvious irritation, to tell me how many orders were ahead of mine… she stepped away and scrolled, and scrolled, and scrolled on the tablet by the assembly line. She came back and said nothing. When I asked her if my order was even there she curtly responded “yeah it is.” 😑 I pressed further and she told me there were FIFTEEN ahead of mine. It was now 7:50 So I angrily left and went to pickup my daughter’s Chipotle order (which had been waiting for us for 10 minutes), then went to the restaurant next door to order something, since by then my Glucose monitor was alarming that my levels were falling below the threshold… something I would have avoided had my Cava order been ready on time. I tried calling the store and it rang until the call was dropped. I tried to contact customer service to cancel my order but that is just an email submission, so I eventually went BACK into the store to ask for my order to be canceled. Only after the sourpuss cashier told me it could only be canceled “in the app” which I don’t have, and after she flounced to the back of the store for o my God knows what, did I hear “order for Danielle.” 🤦‍♀️ My order was ready, at 8:05 pm. 35 minutes after it should have been. If I managed this store I would put my team through the paces to increase speed and efficiency in preparing the orders, I would dedicate a runner during peak hours, and I would keep my cashier PUT so they could get people out the door. By the way. When I came back the last time, I saw people still waiting on online orders who were there at my first visit at 7:40, and people who were in line… still waiting to pay. I was considering using Cava to cater a major event but can’t risk it. Lastly let me add that I can’t blame the cashier for her demeanor. She wasn’t rude but she wasn’t hospitable… however if what I saw was any indication, it would take a saint to smile and make clients feel like they are valued when dealing with that stress. Cava can do better. I hope they figure it out before they frustrate people out of returning.
